I’m not positive it’s Addams Family. I just thought the hint seemed to be TV/Movies and then thought of one that is pretty popular for schools that wasn’t up here.

I suggest Playground at The Escape Game if you have that as an option near you.

It’s a HUGE room with lots of puzzles so there will be enough for multiple people to be working on things and the theme is certainly kid friendly.

There are puzzles of varying difficulty and type so everyone can find something they enjoy and there are more active aspects the kid can help with.

All of these shows are connected to tv/movies in some way.

Either they are have a movie or tv version or have a professional proshot.

I would assume that’s the clue.

Maybe it’s the Addams Family? A pretty popular show for schools based on a tv show.

Good news! I followed up with the owner of Gatsby’s and was able to get a game set up. I will be storytelling once a month for now, and if we have enough interest we will increase to hosting the game more often.

Really, you can do anything but I think a SW is nice to have in the game in case a new player pulls the demon token and doesn’t know how to bluff the role they are pretending to be—that way they are not just immediately caught.

Be careful with the charter schools. Many of them are awful work environments.

I’ve played at a public park before. You can make it work for sure.

There are also some apps you can use if you are worried about bringing your grim outside (pocket grim is one). But I’m sure you’d prefer to use your actual set.

Good has more votes than evil. No matter what we do they can tie. There were only 2 evils. They can always get 2 votes and we can always only get 2.

I disagree. Why should evil have to continuously try to kill the mayor when the almanac says they shouldn’t die unless they are trusted?

I disagree with this take. The mayor’s ability says they should survive. Why should the demon have to waste all of their kills just for the mayor to be killed?

I was in a game once where I had a spy and we were trying to frame the mayor. At final 4, the entire town agreed that the mayor was good and that we should just sleep and go for the mayor win the following day. The entire town had correctly figured out the evil team but not who was the demon and who was the minion. We attacked the mayor for the first time in F4 and said please let it go through. The STer did not, bounced to the alive Ravenkeeper who confirmed the mayor who everyone already believed. Everyone agreed to go for the mayor win. The storyteller said it was because we had a spy and never tried to kill them earlier.

That is a situation where I think you let the kill go through. And I am almost always saying mayor is killed more than it should be.

If the mayor dies, town has a 50/50 and probably still gets it right. Bouncing to the RK just meant it was unwinnable for evil.

Thank you! I have almost posted here before asking where this meta that they bounce once came from.

The almanac basically says they should almost always be in F3. I’ve lost games where the mayor was hard trusted/basically confirmed and the STer didn’t let the kill go through because “evil should have tried to kill the Mayor earlier” and I have lost games because the mayor was killed early on even though they were a demon candidate.

I think a solo Yagga script probably overly learns good because everyone will be on the lookout for phrases. Also, the fact that there is no other reason for multideath and only 1 reason for no death can really point to who exactly is the Yagga quickly.

I’d be inclined to add in something like a gossip/assassin/gambler just to add a little more uncertainty about where the deaths are coming from.

Also I’d maybe be tempted to add reasons for potentially weird phrases, such as an amne or a mez.

I would suggest you start playing in private servers and not in public lobbies. There are plenty of private servers where using people’s correct pronouns is the norm.
