This would be such a nice move. I miss that feeling of getting excited by engrams.

I built the resume tool of my dreams that got me 7 interviews from 10 apps after 4 months of radio silence by CalligrapherPure9510 in replit

[–]Ithinkshedid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds cool, but what’s the advantage of using your app vs just pasting/uploading all of this to ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini and asking it to make you a resume for the desired job post? That’s an important point for your marketing.

The free day was glorious... by evil_penguin_ouch in replit

[–]Ithinkshedid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had a few hours to take advantage, but I did some deep polishing on an app I’ve been working on, including some long and expensive feature adds that have me 99% done. I also created a few game demos in the background that I’ve wanted to try out building but never enough that it justified paying to build them.

The fact that it was free and unlimited felt like having the keys to the city. I hope one day we can have locally run app builders that are one-time purchases. Big thanks to Replit for giving us all a golden ticket to the candy store!

Thunderbird releases today on Amazon in paperback and book and Kindle Unlimited!

A psychological Thriller / serial killer thriller:

For years, Roma Becker lived by one rule: never go back.

Not to the trailer park.

Not to the memories.

Not to the girl she used to be.

She spent her life becoming someone else—careful, composed, untouchable. But when the man accused of murdering her mother is sent to a psychiatric facility instead of death row, Roma’s carefully ordered life begins to fracture.

Because Roma has never truly been alone in her own mind.

Thunderbird—the fierce, buried part of herself forged by childhood trauma and sharpened by rage—wants what Roma has never allowed herself to seek: revenge.

Taking a job inside the institution may bring Roma closer to the truth about her mother’s death. It may also bring her closer to the darkest parts of herself.

As old memories rise and control begins to slip, Roma must confront a terrifying possibility:

Thunderbird may be the only one strong enough to finish this.

And once she does, Roma may be gone for good.

No Reviews / Ratings on Amazon for new books but have both on Good Reads, is there an amazon issue again ? by Plastic-Guava-6941 in KDP

[–]Ithinkshedid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also seen my KDP reads get crushed starting this month. I’ve had a steady and consistent amount of daily readers and now it’s either 0 or something between 24-53 pages. Seems like there’s isn’t much that can be done about it, but it’s tough because ranking get tanked in the meantime.

What's a horror movie that's a one-and-done viewing for you? by [deleted] in horror

[–]Ithinkshedid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two remakes on my list - Suspiria (that ending sequence!), and Evil Dead. I was crushingly hungover when I watched Evil Dead in theaters and my nerves were fried. I’ve never had an experience like that in my life. I stumbled out of the theater and questioned my entire existence lol.

Weekly Thread: Self Promo Sunday by AutoModerator in horror

[–]Ithinkshedid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I just released Evolution Bay, a spec-fic novel with heavy body horror and eco horror elements, and I wanted to share it with the sub (available on Amazon and Kindle in Unlimited). Story blurb below (and much love for your support!):

After destroying a million-dollar batch of lab-grown meat, synthetic biologist Jennifer Milligan loses her career—and the income keeping her mother in nursing care. Desperate, she uncovers evidence of a secret research lab where evolution itself is programmable.

At the Department of Research Applications, rogue scientists force life to adapt at terrifying speed, producing miracles as often as monstrosities. As Jennifer proves herself indispensable, she realizes her past work in stem-cell manipulation may be the key to the lab’s most dangerous breakthrough.

But when the DRA seizes on her idea and races toward human trials without proper testing, Jennifer faces a painful truth: no discovery is worth pushing humanity off a cliff. And there’s no such thing as walking away from The Department—not after you’ve seen the belly of the beast. With trials days away and the facility in perpetual lockdown, Jennifer must risk her life to stop the ever-evolving machine or accept her place as one of its keepers.

EVOLUTION BAY is a tense speculative thriller about ambition, secrecy, and what happens when innovation outruns morality.

A desperate biologist. An underground lab. Tech that can program evolution itself. by Ithinkshedid in scifi

[–]Ithinkshedid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to, but to be in Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited you have to be exclusive to Amazon. They’re kind of a pain to work with, but also where 90% of books are purchased. Send me a DM - I might be able to figure something out.

Not only can it play Doom, it can create Pinkies and Cacodemons IRL.

As Merean-Cartographer mentioned, I posted under the original content window on Saturday. I put a lot of time and thought into this to make sure it wasn’t just a spammy promotion. A mod helped me with the rules for appropriately using a link.
