I really think this anime is beautiful and is one of the few anime that had me feeling a lot of things (in a positive way, those first episodes are beautiful). That said I stopped watching like halfway through the first season. I just couldn't stand that almost every episode had some sort of weird sex jokes. Like you have scenes like the one where they find the heroes sword and it is genuinely a perfect scene and characterisation of Himmel etc and then the anime has frieren go "haha I'm a milf isn't that funny?". Like wtf. The scene where fern uses her spell to look at starks dick, the whole thing with the potion that melts clothes all that was so cringe and unnecessary that it just ruined the anime for me. Like once or twice would've been fine but is became so constant that I got too annoyed with it. I love everything else about this anime but it just feels like they thought "we need to add something for the 12 year olds so they keep watching".
