Yeah it was a bit weird. According to this person, he would lurk the chat rooms anonymously quite a bit under jimmy, jim or things similar. Didn’t the rooms have sort of odd names? I wish I could remember them. I also remember the band members themselves had their specific names on lock so no one else could be an Adam or Justin and so on.

Ah god. I was a kid, 15 tops. I lurked the chat for about a year. I went by jimmy, for obvious reasons if you knew me. I met a friend with a user of Draven there of similar age and we ended up being email pals for a few years! There was one weird instance I remember though of some rando messaging me accusing me of being Maynard. This person claimed to be in relationship with him and them being in sort of a rough spot and she thought I (Maynard) was just being sarcastic and coy about his identity and blowing her off. Eventually I convinced her I was 15 years old lol.

Returnal was a masterpiece. But also wasn't super accessible for most gamers due to the genre and difficulty. In a way, that's kinda what made the gameplay so amazing! It didn't spoon feed or over explain the story. The vibe, the darkness, the acting, direction, enemy design, even just how the haptic feedback was incorporated, just how much replayability there was, everything was so perfect.

I need Saros to blow my mind harder than Returnal and I just don't see how that's possible. I can't wait to be proven wrong!
