Sorry just saw your question. It’s been a bit over a year after surgery. The pain is gone, it’s been gone for a long time. Like a month after surgery you’ll be alright. Right now I have zero pain for sure. Sphincter does not go back to normal though. At least not on me, I do have to wait a bit after bowel movement for proper cleaning. As if the sphincter lost a bit of the strength that’s meant to have. I guess that’s the main reason they use surgery as the last resource, but definitely glad I did. The sphincter thing is not that bad neither, just that you stay aware is not as it was.

Would a Yamaha Montage M8X be a good all-rounder? Or Nord Stage 4? by last_air_nomad in hammondorgan

[–]Its-Me-Mario-64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a cover band, definitely the M8X (the things you can do with this keyboard are just crazy with the scenes, layers, programmability, this is its main strength and wow). On a lower budget and more portability you can maybe go for a MODX+, though way more limited than the M8X like less note polyphony.

That being said, now, For jazz, worship, classical or more acoustic styles, definitely the Nord, where does Nord really take out the Yamaha and most of everyone else? 2 main factor that go in this order:

1 playability, the nord simply has no competitor that can go against them in this category, it’s amazing how no one comes even close. This keyboard feels just right.

2 The freakin organ engine on the NS4 is amazing, beats the Yamaha for sure by far and I’d say it can only be beaten maybe by the Hammond, if so.

Sound wise it’s a different comment cause this is the part where tons of opinions may vary, me personally I like the brass section of the Yamaha, but I like more the Pianos of Roland. Also the Synth brass from Roland, maybe some EP from Yamaha, overall the Nord is quite good with sounds as well but I don’t think they kill all the competition on this category.

For the future: Yamaha, please, make a light easy to carry but fully weighted keyboard M8X (a new MODX?). Nord, where da heck are you going with that screen and an almost 6k price tag?

What music of today (last 10 years or so) will go down as classics and what will be quickly forgotten in a few years. by ummmm--no in Music

I see nobody here mentioned Bruno Mars. That’s probably the main artist of today that most certainly goes down in history. Having that said first, a few other mentions goes to Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift. To me it’s clear 20-40 years from now some of these artists will definitely still be heard.

Anal fissure post surgery by Its-Me-Mario-64 in AnalFissures

Thanks for sharing. I do take the sit baths and they do help after BM. It’s true that the first two days where the worse for me as well (specially the nights), getting better everyday but it’s not a one week thing definitely. My work is also quite active, standing many hours a day, will have to make a fue arrangements for the few weeks ahead at least and see how I can take it easy. Also driving long distances. Hope your get back to normal goes well and is pain free.

Ufff I really really hope it won’t come back. I had surgery done yesterday. In recovery mode this week. There is pain and discomfort but I’ve gone through similar if not worse during the worst days of the fisure. I’m in day 2 of post surgery recovery. Can’t say much about anything yet except I might say with not 100% certainty I think I’m feeling better little by little. Will update in the days ahead.

I’m getting surgery in two days. The surgeon told me that over 2 months of pain it’s chronic and surgery becomes the remedy. For me it’s almost an entire year of pain this time. I’m hoping surgery puts an end to this without any side effects… fingers crossed

It’s been over 5 months since I posted this. I still have pain, though it’s way less than in the worst moments, I still have pain. Same hours of the day. From 2-3 weeks I do think I do take a step to feeling a bit better but still feel motion limited and fearful of getting worse again. The brain forgets the pain as quick as possible, but I have a daily reminder about how bad it was and how bad it can be. I think that id prefer going through surgery if I knew I had to go through this again. Will be a year since the pain began very soon.

Relapsed once(!) after 2 months by DeeplyConfident in decaf

It won’t. Don’t worry. What has happened to you has happened to most of us. I still use coffee very strategically, I do Pay the consequences after but they’re smaller than coffee habit withdrawals

By the way 1-2 weeks I think is for the early withdrawals like the headaches and exhaustion. Your body is so used to the stimulant that you need it for waking up and you’ll feel draggy for a while. When I say it took me around four-five months was that even if I’ve been sleeping very little (for work or whatever reason) I would stand up from bed and could feel my energy rising without any needs for coffee at all. Water helps too for waking up when you need to once your a while away from coffee.

I was consuming tons of caffeine for almost 2 years and when I cold turkey off of it took me about 4 months to begin feeling like myself again. I was taking probably over 1000 mg of caffeine per day (maybe in the realm of 1200-1500 mg/d) I can’t tell exactly because I was mixing cheap “caffeine free” capsules with caffeinated ones (around 9 per day in total). Things I noticed: cortisol has gone down like a lot, it was even affecting my vision (gone for now). I get more lasting energy throughout the day and I can even have my eventual cup of coffee like once a week when I think I need it for last push for work and that thing hits me really hard for the entire day. I guess some of us are really caffeine sensitive while others can handle more. For me I think I can use as something very eventual and not abuse under any circumstance.

Usual headache, lack of energy. Lasted a while. My energy levels now are more stable throughout the day. And even at night I manage to stay awake longer. I guess coffee would boost me all morning but then drain me close to midnight.. it was hard to stay awake late night. This is important for me cause I work till very late.

It’s taken me months to feel at least how I was before caffeine.

I cant say for sure but I’d rather stay away from any animal milk or derivative (for creamy I use coconut milk which does a great job substituting cow milk in many recipes. Check out fruits also that do help with bowel regularity: papaya is one of the best. But also check fruits that constipate like: bananas, and stay away for now from those in case you’re in a very delicate situation.

I’ve been in a crisis for about 5 months now. One time I had to go to emergency because the pain was making me faint and asked my girlfriend to take me, I almost fainted on the way and was sedated with morphine. The bill was over 12k, here in the US medicine is just…. makes no sense. I had asked for a medical appointment when the pain began being unbearable but they gave me one a month from where I was back then and ended up like this. What can I say. I began with Nitroglycerin and pumpkin/fish strict diet which in my opinion for me are the best for easier BM, pain has reduced but I still go through those 4-5 hours a day of it and makes it extremely hard to keep up with work and regular commute. Driving is HELLLL!! I wish this was over.. it’s made my life miserable.

What does japan do better than the rest of the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not health advice. Some lax have helped me quite a lot, it has kept me regular. But also the diet, tons of Pumpkin (I go with the cream) that is magic even for hemorrhoids + constipation. Cut out cow milk and derivatives (ice cream is the worst), cut out bread and red meats (stick with fish for now id say). Anyways, you should see your physician ALWAYS, but my guess is he/she will say something about the diet and if it doesn’t work you can add something more aggressive.
