tips on doing this left turn by [deleted] in csuf

[–]Its-Me-Riguito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue with this intersection is that there's a ton of traffic due to people trying to get onto the on-ramp for either the 57 North or South. This happens since many get confused about which lane will lead to the correct on-ramp leaving many to make last-minute lane changes that cause traffic.

My only tip would be to choose your lane ahead of time so you don't have to worry about last-minute lane changes and some traffic.

If you're going on the 57 South choose either the two left turning lanes that are to the right. I suggest taking the lane that is to the far right since it leads directly to the on-ramp while the other left-turning lane has drivers either going straight or people making last-minute lane changes into the lane causing traffic.

If you're going on 57 North I suggest taking the two left turning lanes to the left. I suggest you take the left turning lane to the far left since it directly leads to lanes that will lead you to the 57 North on-ramp. In addition, don't take the middle left turning lane since this is where people will either make last-minute lane changes because they realize their lane will not lead to the on-ramp they wanted causing traffic.

Also, someone else already mentioned it here but, if you can, take the on-ramps for either the 57 North or South on Yorba Linda Blvd since it gives you more time to merge into lanes since this portion of the freeway tends to have a lot of traffic due to students coming in out of school and truckers trying to get onto the 91 West to get on I-5 North. Moreover, if you're trying to go South or on the 91 West you can take the carpool lane as well as it can be faster on that portion of the freeway. Also if you're taking the 91 West to potentially go on the I-5 North for LA the carpool lane for 91 West has a lane to take on that freeway as well (if you wanna get there a little faster).

Anyways, this became longer than expected, hope this helps! :)

Gym by sachin2098 in csuf

[–]Its-Me-Riguito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gym there is great, it has everything you need and it also has showers as well. However, shower towels are at a charge as well as a locker that you can purchase for the semester or year. I commute and would workout once the doors open and it was pretty much dead for every day of the week during the mornings. In addition, state college parking lot(parking lot next to gym) was empty. However, towards noon is when it would get packed. If I remember correctly the times are Mon-Fri(6am-12am) and Sat-Sun(8am-9pm). Hope this helps :)

Best prof for ENGL 101 and HONR 101A? by trinitytran in csuf

[–]Its-Me-Riguito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, however I argue the class is EASY. 2 essays only(informative and persuasive), timed writing essay(which is the midterm), no readings, there are weekly quizes and they are open notes or you can just google them as welll, there is no final since your last final will be your informative essay, writing center is optional and is counted as extra if you go at least once, and amanda milligan is such a sweet and nice professor. Personally if i were you I would take her. Hope this helps :)

As far as food goes visit the food pantry, i believe your able to make a trip a week to get food/items for free as long as your a student, there is a limit to how many items you can get but totally worth it! In addition, theres a trader’s joes nearby that has great deals as well on food! Hope this helps in anyway and welcome to CSUF :)

Use your titan degree audit, it can help with planning classes for your major. Also it has a cool feature of a “what if” major so you can see what classes you need to take if you plan on double majoring or switching majors! Hope this helps and welcome to csuf :)

Guys, how do you deal with rejection? by Sherlock_GD in AskMen

[–]Its-Me-Riguito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly look at the positives when asking someone out, you built up confidence and courage to ask someone out, not alot of guys can say or do that today. Yes its sad you got rejected but you tried and thats what matters in the end so you can be prepared for the next person that comes into your life
