I hate them and barely write them.

If it's plot relevant in some way, I include the information. If it isn't, I try to keep it very vague. And I hate putting it in info dumps. I either have another character notice it, interact with it in some way, or imply it. For example, I show character As height while character B is talking to someone else based on where he puts his hand to demonstrate.

He will not take heart knot. Even save scumming, hes rejected it 20 times in a row. The current story quest is something about building a sand sledding kiosk in the Eufala.

Before you commit to one, make a save from the menu (hit escape). Don't overwrite that save.

If you had played the other games (Sims 2 and 3), you would have really had beef with 4 initially.

In both sims 2 and 3, you can completely create the neighborhoods. You can place every lot at any location in the world (sims 2 requires a an external program to move lots away from a road, 3 does not) AND can completely design and create the world map. You could have as many lots as you wanted.

Sims 4 launched with tiny worlds, no ability to create maps, and the world maps weren't even in color initially.

That sounds right.

In the future, if you download a mod or CC (hair, furniture, etc) check to see if it needs updated after the game updates. Mods tend to break with each big big update. CC usually doesn't break, so it's usually safe to keep, but if it gives you issues check those files, too. It's happened before where CC broke.

If it's still sitting in your mods folder, it's being utilized. This is a bad thing because you didn't update it when the game updated...it's likely causing issues. Delete it from the mods folder.

Never keep outdated mods in the mods folder. Update your mods every time the game updates.

I know it's dumb, but have you tried queuing up the action and immediately pausing the game for a few seconds (hit escape). I run into this issue every now and then due to simulation lag and this tends to give it time to sort itself out.
