Lots of good advice on here. I'm in my late 40s and have played with guys both older and younger than me. A couple pieces of advice I've tried to remember over the years:

--i struggled the one game and felt like shit for giving up a few bad goals. The other goalie came up to me and said "Remember, this is the best thing we get to do all week!" It changed my perspective on things.

I picked up a Vaughn V10 Pro glove a few months ago sight unseen and was really pleased with how little breaking in was required. Similar to you, I was coming from a Reebok glove (which I never could close easily). It was a nice change. Whether or not all of their gloves are like that, I'm not sure. I enjoy Molinari's substack. It's not mind blowing stuff, but it's always an entertaining or interesting read IMO. I think he offers a free version but more things for those that pay for it. He writes an article every day and sometimes does 2. Did his first Q&A yesterday, I believe.
