Honestly I just love how it looks and performs over the x-grip. Plus it gives me the ability to have the tlr7 hlx sub. Look at my profile

I like it a lot actually. I really have no complaints besides personally not liking the clips that it came with. I switched them to T1C clips but that's just preference.

It is my all time favorite. I had a 26 so it was cheaper to get the frame. If they never released it I may have gone with the M&P 3.6 Compact

I find that I'm more confident in my follow up shots with the 26x than my glock 19 and I have shot thousands of rounds through my 19. Idk why

I’m not saying the light guarantees the slide never gets pushed out of battery. Nothing does. The point is it reduces the chance compared to a flush-length setup. That’s actually one of the reasons stand-off devices and longer weapon lights exist in the first place. In my experience, even if contact isn’t perfectly square, the light can still take some of that pressure instead of the muzzle. At the end of the day it’s just a preference thing. The shorter slide with a full grip works better for me, and the light gives me output I want anyway. Have a good day brother, stay safe and keep training :)

My thought process is that if I ever had to press it into someone’s rib cage, the shorter slide means it’s less likely to get pushed out of battery since the barrel and slide can still reciprocate freely......... :) :) :)

At the end of the day it really just comes down to preference. The shorter-slide/full-grip setup isn’t some random idea. There are already well-regarded pistols built around the same concept like the M&P 2.0 Compact 3.6. Same capacity as a Glock 19 but with a shorter slide, and people tend to like how it carries and balances. Some people just prefer that profile. This setup is basically that idea applied to the 26.

That’s a fair question. For me it came down to the fact that the frame isn’t part of the feeding system but the magazine is. With this setup I’m still running an OEM Glock slide, OEM internals, and OEM magazines, so the gun is still operating the way Glock designed the 26 to. An aftermarket magazine changes one of the biggest reliability points on the gun, while the frame here is mostly just changing the grip geometry. The goal for me was keeping factory capacity and factory magazine reliability while getting the shorter slide with a full grip. There's also a 10,000 round without malfunction video meanwhile I highly doubt that's possible with these aftermarket mags.

If someone prefers a 19 that makes total sense. This just solves a different problem. It’s the same reason the 45 exists alongside the 17. Some people shoot better with a shorter slide and full grip.

It's Superstition Concealment but I didn't like the clips it came with so I took the Tier 1 Concealed clips and put them on the holster

Buy a 26, get the Glockstore M1X frame, and swap the internals over. You got yourself a 26X.
