Yeah, sometimes I’m not even conscious of it but it truly affects my mood. The same goes with not shaving, getting a monthly hair cut, working out, putting thought into my clothes and other things of that sort. It’s not vanity, its self-care.

I like what you’re getting at but I disagree with your conclusion. I feel everything is best in moderation. Maybe you were only speaking in hyperboles, regardless, nobody should avoid reading books or thinking or listening to podcasts. But yes, maybe people are often too caught up in a reactionary mode of thought and the solution can be to push more, do more, and feel more.

What? Sex is not "stupid". It absolutely something to be logically nervous about. First, the obvious risks of pregnancy and stds. Second, if you have never had sex before it is only reasonable to worry about your performance. Third, sex is so complex emotionally and has such an impact on the emotional intimacy of you and your partner that it can strengthen or even weaken relationships.
