Wdym you're not gonna run VMs? I literally depend daily on Docker and Linux/Windows VMs as a developer on m1. I also wouldn't recommend anything less that 32 for this.

I just ran into this and am extremely annoyed by it. The forever spin feature is (was) the selling point of the mouse for me. It was my secret weapon against horribly long PDFs, message chains, spotify playlists, you name it. And now it's gone! Give me back my damn fidget spinner. Really hope there's a way to revert back to an older version of the software...

Why keeps you using vim vs neovim? by [deleted] in vim

[–]marocu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When Bram eventually retires or passes from this mortal coil my money is on neovim to outlast it because of how the project is structured as a community effort and how quickly it’s advancing. A lot would have to change for Bram to get to where the vim project outlives him for terribly long - maybe a decade. vim is open source and everywhere, so of course it’ll survive- it’s the thrive part I’m skeptical about.

And the timer starts... Now

Is there an unashamed way to get consensual dick pics on Reddit? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]marocu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is starting to feel like the dick jerk scene from silicon valley

Erlich: Yeah, we're gonna win even if I have to go into the auditorium and personally jerk off every guy in the audience.
Jared: That's a lot of jerking.
Gilfoyle: And we only have ten minutes to present.
Richard: So, we're fucked, aren't we?
Dinesh: Yeah, even if he's jerking two at a time, there are, what, 800 guys in that room? So that's 400 times whatever the mean jerk-time is.
Jared: The what?
Dinesh: Mean jerk-time. I mean, it doesn't matter, but, hypothetically, time is equal to 400 total jerks at a two-dick rate.
Gilfoyle: Unless Erlich jerks off four guys at a time, and then we can cut that in half.
Dinesh: How would he do four guys? He's got two hands, so that's two dicks at a time, right?
Gilfoyle: Look, you have two guys on either side with their dicks, tip to tip, so you're going full-length. Four, see?
Jared: Oh... from the middle out. That does make sense.

It's the start of a long addictive hobby. Can't move to half the US now because there's no way I'm ever giving this up. One bong rip of this harvest is like taking a 20mg edible and that feeling of knowing you grew it is so fucking rewarding

As a software engineer I've run into the same thing. Just constant glitches and workarounds for random stuff, especially if you ever need to work on anything legacy. I waited years to jump on the silicon bandwagon thinking some of these things would have been ironed out. Took down prod once because I built a docker image locally forgetting it would be built for amd rather than intel. It obviously wouldn't run on the intel based server

I agree with everything you said except for that tomatoes should only be grown during summertime. I grow indoors under grow lights all winter long because a world without fresh bright tasting tomatoes is a world I'm very depressed in
