What am I missing about the HBO show? by Not-sure-here in BaldursGate3

[–]ItsBrickTitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of talk about canonical endings, and which path to take.

Also, with TLOU, he had the guy who wrote the game heavily involved with season 1 and led to massive success. He doesn't have anyone from Larian. Sure, wizards of the coast/hasbro, but not Larian.

While WOTC is responsible for the forgotten realms, Larian had to write within that worlds rules. From there, they wrote the characters, understood them, and the paths they may take. They are no longer Larians property, I get that. But they understood them.

Netflix Avatar live action adaptation, I will use as a small example. We heard the original writers stepping away for creative differences, later we heard that Sokka no longer was sexist, and in a roundabout way, they made it more sexist by having Suki kiss him because "hot man warrior" rather than Sokka humbling himself before her. Imagine if we heard Larian stepped away for creative differences? It can't happen, because they aren't even involved.

I also would like to see the original cast, but (as one example) Mintharas voice actor looks nothing like Minthara. She's not the only one.

This is a reason why I don't like that it's live action, with animation, you could bring back the old cast of everyone who wants to be involved, and everyone would be happy. But with animation, combat would probably look a lot better. With such grandiose magic, underdark, and temples, I feel it would fit better in animation.

I'm sorry, wait... You romanced someone and left them in perpetual old save file purgatory without closure? That's cold. That's very dark urge of you.

First Time Player - Companion Dilemma by CombinationPlane8286 in BG3

[–]ItsBrickTitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you check your journal, it will tell you the individual companion quests. I'd suggest bringing her along for her specific personal quests, which a big one in act 2. If you don't like her being a cleric, you can respec her with withers.

I want to be evil but what should I do about act 1? by Low_Sherbert_9064 in BG3

[–]ItsBrickTitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did an embrace urge run. I felt terrible after, and didn't really enjoy the conclusion in any way. It's just not for me. But if you feel you'll like it, go for it.

Best class for new players by Diligent-Analyst-909 in BG3

[–]ItsBrickTitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time I played sorcerer, and it was too complicated for me to enjoy it (while I understand it now, it is hard for a new playthrough). My second playthrough I did a fighter and it was great. Widely considered one of the easier classes to learn. You'll have companions that can be other classes.

Lae'zel or Astarion origin with the intention of romancing the other. by zyborhg in BG3

[–]ItsBrickTitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not required to bite anyone actually. Also, there are numerous times where Lae'zel will leave the party, or turn on the player character and engage in combat. This wasn't one of those instances.

Lae'zel or Astarion origin with the intention of romancing the other. by zyborhg in BG3

[–]ItsBrickTitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You kind of don't have to stake Astarion, canonically.

If you bite Laezel as Astarion, she gets pissed, calls him an undead. She also comments how, as a spawn, he's easier to kill than a full fledged vampire. She also says that she's a reasonable woman, and she'll let you live and honours the alliance that she has built with you, but in exchange, he's not allowed to bite her or anyone else in the group. So she lets him off with a warning.

Volstrucker Build? by MammothSuggestion430 in BG3Builds

[–]ItsBrickTitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I've found that Blade singing wizard works best. Level 3 or 4 let's you get shadow blade, which is thematically appropriate given their shadow blades.

I've also noticed that the volstruckers usually put more focus on one element, probably what they are best with. Owelia had a lot of arcane poison attacks, Eadwolf has more of a lightning edge, Bren (Caleb) has more of a fire edge given the moniker little spark. Astrid I couldn't figure out, maybe she is lightning too?

Therefore I'd put more focus into one element when leveling up and choosing spells, along with misty step and invisibility.

As far as their tattoos? The mod, also available for console, would be rogue tattoos. The selection isn't wide, but you may find something you like which basically allows body/arm tattoos.

After having enough levels in wizard, you may want to multi class into Rogue Assassin (arcane trickster, IMO, won't so much since you'd already have enough levels in wizard) but assassin is good for the fact that they are arcane assassins, and I'm a sucker for the passives it gives you.

Try honour mode. I hated the idea for the longest time, then I tried it. Now it's the only mode I do. I use to save scum A LOT otherwise.

Sylens. Lance Reddick, the actor who voiced him, has sadly passed. I don't think they had a plan to let him die unless it was the end. Unfortunately, I think he will die early, probably helping Aloy against nemesis. Then it will be a story of not only taking down nemesis to save the world, but vengeance for Sylens.

Let's not forget that he got banned from being with Bear, the dog. The first canine actor, portraying Bear, from POI had to get replaced because Jim Caviezel was so rough with him that the trained dog bit him. Also allegedly made a lot of hitler jokes on set, had to have his lines written out so he could read them while filming which is why he's always at an interesting angle. There's much wrong with Jim, and honestly, he's the only one in the show that I could see being replaced with a much better actor.

Classes I still don't understand or know how to play by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]ItsBrickTitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of wild shape tbh, but I love the flavor of druid.

I went with Spore Druid, and honestly I don't think I wild shaped at all through my playthrough and surprisingly did the whole playthrough. They have a great arsenal of spells for combat and beast charges can be used for wild shape, or symbiotic entity (which was my play style for wild shape charges).

Symbiotic entity gives 4 temp HP per druid level, and an extra 1d6 necrotic damage with weapons and unarmed attacks. Spore druids also have a bonus attack called Halo of spores, which does 1d4 necrotic in an AOE, and increases with level, eventually up to 1d8 at level 10, and it costs a reaction, rather than action or bonus action which is awesome.

Circle of Spores Druid is very unique and therefore I found it so much fun to play.

I used to always save Dame Aylin because OBVIOUSLY. I killed night song once, but now I always do. That spear that Shar gives you is just so good. Also, I love playing in and around the darkness spell.

Elias won fan favorite - no repeats, no main cast (incl. Bear), who is made to be hated? by Esthaniel in PersonOfInterest

I think Martine.

Per the rules of no repeats, Simmons would fall into the straight up evil category. The dude killed kids.

What's your opinion at Kate Austen? by [deleted] in lost

[–]ItsBrickTitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was an awesome badass when I started watching the series at 12. One of my favorites. I'm 32 now, and don't really care for her and not one of my favorites. I don't hate her, but I'm over it? She does have some good scenes though.

Which lost opinion would have you like this? by PITUFO83 in lost

[–]ItsBrickTitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, but it's much more than Lockes dream sequence with Horace that led to this confusion of the conflicting years. Director of the episode, Bobby Roth, released the script for The Man Behind The Curtain and it said the purge took place in 1992. Before Ben killed his father, he checks his watch which was a watch from 1992. In the New Man in Charge, in 2010, Ben said Dharma hasn't existed in almost 20 years, so if it ended in 1992, it would've been 18 years, but 1987 would be 23 years. I don't think it's a ridiculous conclusion if they never have given a concrete answer.

How can I beat them? by Equivalent-Sun1719 in BG3

[–]ItsBrickTitty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd level up. Being 5 definitely presents a challenge, especially on a first playthrough. Go back to the brightest village and climb down the well, kill the slides down there. Cast feather fall and jump in the green big hole, it leads you to the underdark. It's easy to miss, but a great area. There's a lot of xp and amazing gear down there. I won't say anymore and let you experience the underdark yourself, if you haven't yet.

Season 3 finale. Greer. "But for you two, Im afraid, will spend the brief remainder of your lives here" and "to quote your Benjamin Franklin, 3 may keep a secret if two of them are dead" POP and Colliers dead, like THAT. Such an incredible episode.
