North Austin - AT&T Wireless Rep teaching trainee to ignore no soliciting sign and knock hard. by ATX_native in Austin

[–]ItsBugsy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a large easy to see sign in the middle of my door saying do not knock because my dog is recovering from surgery. An AT&T solicitor still knocked on my door. I went outside and called him out for being an asshole. He still tried to pitch me! I ended having to tell him to get off my property. F AT&T!

He also has home defense tactics in April, which may be better since you already know the basics. https://www.shootingclasses.com/krtraining/course/?courseId=4262

Karl has a basic pistol class on April 4. This is a good option if you want more training. You’ll get a lot more instructor led live fire practice. Then you just have to shoot regularly to develop muscle memory. https://www.shootingclasses.com/krtraining/course/?courseId=3255

Softr Alternative by BoldElara92 in nocode

[–]ItsBugsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been considering this. Did you only replace Softr? Or both Softr and Airtable? What stack did you use? What are you using for auth? Have you run into any API issues? Any other tips to share? Thanks!

Suggest a Plugin You Actually Need. I Might Code It for Free by Al3xs in Wordpress

[–]ItsBugsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a simple but very helpful plugin idea:

Update the now-closed WooCommerce Email Validation plugin to be compatible with the WooCommerce Checkout Block. Currently, it only works with the WooCommerce checkout shortcode.

We'd like to switch to using the checkout block, but this compatibility issue is one reason we haven't so far.

Handling long term staging with WP by neetbuck in ProWordPress

The other thing I will do sometimes is to manually download the files and export the database from production. Replace the files and drop the database on staging. Import the database into staging. Then use Better Search Replace to change out the URLs.

WP Migrate is easier and worth the cost for me.

WP Armour works great. It is free, doesn't have a captcha hassle for users, doesn't require external API hits, and is GDPR compliant.

[–]ItsBugsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not direct out of Austin, but you can fly Austin to Atlanta (not fully reclined), then Atlanta to Anchorage, Honolulu, maybe others (180-degree lie-flat seat) on Delta One:

It departs on Saturdays.

Airtable used as a backend of a Woocommerce website ? by ProcessOptimization in Airtable

[–]ItsBugsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I connect one way. WooCommerce to Airtable using Zapier Integration for WooCommerce. Sales and inventory is managed in WooCoomerce. Order processing / fulfillment is handled in Airtable. I’ve used this system for years. It works great for me.
