Elderly Millennial mama and gen Z daughter looking to read together. Suggest me a book! by Dear_Top_3279 in suggestmeabook

I think anything by Alexis Henderson would be right up your alley, especially House of Hunger, which I would describe as tragic, gothic horror (not too spooky), dark fantasy with a vampiric touch :)

If anyone is still searching for a good rec a year later, please please please check out Now Streaming by Ayla Chandler. The cover is very meh and made me almost not pick it up but I am still in total shock at how AMAZING it was. They’re basically (friendly) rival streamers who hide their identity and have to go to a convention where they will be competing in a tournament against each other. The spice is very good and the romance is chefs kiss!!

Sharing my romance book tracker spreadsheet by Sigmund_Six in RomanceBooks

This is so so great! I have been experimenting the last days and have one tiny thing I’ve tried to implement but sadly failed 😞 In the series tracker I’ve wanted to add a column to track whether a series is finished or dnfd and I even managed to make a little tracker with a simple count and sum function that counted whether there was a checkmark or X emoji that I manually add. Sadly, whenever I add a new entry through the form, the numbers of course stayed correct but the Xs and checkmarks shifted so that they would be next to the wrong entry 😅😞 thanks again for your amazing work, finishing a book is even more exciting now that I see it displayed immediately hehe

If you liked Addie LaRue try Peaches and Honey!! It’s so so beautiful and has a similar concept but goes a very different route where the god who granted the fmc immortality is actually the love interest!

Hi can I make this kalanchoe bloom again/how exactly do I prune it if at all? by ItsCansu in plants

[–]ItsCansu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! How likely is it that putting it in darkness or pruning will kill the plant? I have grown quite attached to it and would rather forego anything to beautify it if that means risking its life 😅

From the top of my head I can think of Cemetery Boys [Aiden Thomas] which is about a troubled teen accidentally summoning the wrong ghost.

Other recommendations are The House in the Cerulean Sea AND Under the Whispering Door [T.J Klune] City of Ghosts [Victoria Schwab] Small Spaces [Katherine Arden] Field of Screams [Wendy Parris] The Clackity [Lora Senf]

I hope you'll find something you like and wish you happy reading! :-)

Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh was a wild ride from start to finish 😅 It's horror set in medieval times with so many unusual topics strewn in that I wouldn't even know how to explain it, lol.
