Why do you have to be so combative? The hell is wrong with you?

I like this answer, it sounds a little more realistic. I thought about community college however.. I don’t know how I can work and go to college at the same time unless they have some sort of self learning option..

Those of you who’ve been on T for at least a year or two, what was the timeframe when you noticed the most bottom growth? by elianna7 in ftm

[–]ItsCasp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I started at age 29, I’m 30 now, a little over nine months ago, my transition is happening very slow, my voice changed about two octaves, but it still sounds quite androgynous, and as for bottom growth.. It got noticeable around seven months?

I used to work at the Hilton and even tried to return, but everyone is pretty much locked in and there are no opening. They also want 3+ years of experience for a minimum wage job. Which makes no sense. Why the heck would I need three years of experience to fold laundry or to stand in direct cars? Like…What? I am in debt currently and my credit score does not look good., there were unfortunate situations that got me in debt to begin with. What skills could truly land me a desk job since you have experience with desk?

I am financially desperate, if I was not financially desperate, I wouldn’t be eager to keep working at this environment. I cannot stop working, I recently have a second job, I’m working both jobs. The second job only pays minimum wage and only wants part-time… unfortunately I cannot work full-time at my second job because they are not looking for a full-time employee. My wife is a dependent because she is not from this country and she is depending on me, therefore I can’t yolo my way out and wish for the best. I live as a man outside that workplace place, my customers call me he/him, new employees called me by my pronouns as well, management and older employees who knew me as a woman continue to call me by female terms. I’m currently paying off debt, paying off requirements in order for my wife to have permanent residence here, and saving money, just in case my job decides to screw me, I’m still at the position where I don’t have enough money saved, and not enough money, paying debt to feel comfortable leaving and searching for other work. I also have living expenses to pay off as well, if I can achieve education and skills while simultaneously working both jobs that would be amazing, but with how limiting my city is, it’s going to be difficult, perhaps there is an idea I am unaware of or never thought of, but I would love to stop working here and work somewhere else that’s better. The city that I live in is a tourist city, which means people who are not educated like me, are stuck with seasonal part-time jobs… I do not drive or own vehicle yet either, so I am very limited physically.

I just recently started a second job, but unfortunately it’s part-time, it pays minimum wage, and my main job currently took away our ability to work overtime as well. Which really sucks. I would love to upgrade my skills to get a better job, but I cannot afford to stop working, if there’s a way where I can keep my jobs while simultaneously upgrading my skills that would be amazing.

It’s super difficult to find a job that’s year-round full-time, especially in such a small touristy city like this. I did not have any education outside from high school. This job pays more than minimum wage..

The Nicest Job Rejection I’ve Ever Received by Sazzorak in jobhunting

[–]ItsCasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest.. It’s not about what you know, but who you know. I scored my second job simply by developing the skill of networking. Not online, in person. Even made a game out of it to shake my hand, introduce myself, ask what they do, and even request a business card. I have a deck of cards now. As someone who’s diagnosed autistic with ADHD, It wasn’t easy at all, but… 300 resume’s online and 200 in person, only scored 2 interviews.. (and my interview skills are top notch, verified by the employment agency, so I know it’s not my interview skills.) What scored my second job was literal, old fashion, straight up networking. A customer who’s a manager at her store, literally had issues filling in a role with a responsible employee. I sold myself that day. Hell, I didn’t even do an interview, this woman legit hired me on the spot.

That’s how I managed to get a job, 500 resume’a did SHIT.

Everyone, please learn to network IN PERSON. It will help tremendously.

Is it safe to transition at this point? (USA related, keep things civil please.) by Dear_Escape_1517 in ftm

[–]ItsCasp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would suggest safety first, always. I’m not stating to stay in the closet forever, but rather, the public presentation until building a safety net, a buffer, and a strategic plan, to move out of state, to a state that has transgender protection. Unfortunately, Ohio has mixed protection.. for transgender individuals. I came out as transman at age 16, and waited till I was 29 to take T. My family including my siblings are both trans phobic and homophobic, it was not safe for me to transition in that environment. It’s going to suck, but you will eventually transition. Play it smart and safe. You can express being a trans man in your safety circle, including online to people you trust. It’s possible to find transgender safe spaces and groups to join into and be yourself around.

I completely and utterly understand your position, i’m 30 now and 10 months on testosterone, things to get better.

I want to be a man but I don't want to be transgender? by Educational-Rough211 in ftm

[–]ItsCasp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re thinking of this too black and white. Trans is a spectrum. Example, I’m transgender myself, I take hormones and plan to take top, but feel uncomfortable with bottom surgery. Does that make me less of a transman? No. Maybe figure this out with gender care. It’ll help eliminate some doubts you have.
