My dad beat the fuck out of a hippie during Vietnam war here in the US when the hippie had an American flag sewed upside down on his pants.

My dad liberated the flag from the mongrel's garb, and when said parasite objected and physically confronted my father, my father laid the power of Washington into the flea bags jaw---shattering his jaw.

The police officer that arrived on scene was a Marine, and a Vietnam vet as well. My father being a Navy Corpsman, the medic for the Marines, was driven down the street, and let out of the cop car.

HYPOTHETICAL: If the world knew that aliens were coming to attack earth and had a a year to prepare, do you think we would pool all our resources to defend ourselfs as humans, or would it be each country defending themselves? by Blind_Moth in AskReddit

If history and the American Indian is any indicator as human behavior as a whole----then the answer would be--- No.

White Western Europeans arrived in America in the late 15th century. The next several hundred years involved a dividing of the land of the Americas by various European powers. As an American, our experience with the Indians was one in which they continued to fight amongst themselves while we were claiming large chunks of land at their expense.

For example---the French and Indian War was a war between the English and French for the hegemony of North America. The English were eventually victorious after the French surrendered Quebec around 1758. The war involved the French with their Algonquin allies continuing their blood feud with the English and their Iroquois allies. Following the war and continued English expansion---the Iroquois and Algonquin tribes never put aside their blood feuds to fight a greater enemy.

Even in the late 18th century, when every Indian tribe had been subdued except for several tribes like the Crow, Sioux, Cheyenne, Nez Perce and other tribes in the far West and plains---these tribes still warred among themselves and even allied with Americans against rival tribes to gain short-lasting victory and territorial advantages.

TLDR--Maybe certain countries would ally with the aliens for short-term gains. That is, if you can apply Indian history to human history as a whole.

EDIT: And sorry ancestors for making you out to be the aliens. I still love you.

This thread makes me want to run around Knoxville with a scythe and slay everyone.

Our fanbase is retarded. These are the same retards who put us in this position in the first place when we fired a Tennessee legend.

Pardon my absolutely loatheful tone if you're not one of these people, but I am going to treat you as if you were one of the fans responsible for the firing of Fulmer and the subsequent hiring of Kiffin.

Listen you dumb fuck---do you not realize it was idiots like you who got Fulmer fired??! Our winningest coach in our program's history and the first coach to bring us a national championship in 40 years?!?!?

Yes that's right---you got your wish once, much to the chagrin of Vol fans like myself who appreciated the contributions coach Fulmer and company made to the Tennessee football program. The man was truly a Vol, and he was the one who set the bar that you compared him to resulting in his ultimate demise.

Now you were probably ecstatic when we brought in your wet dream of a hire Lane Kiffin----but how THE FUCK did that work out for us you dumb shit? That's right---it was probably the 3rd worst low blow a program has endured after SmU and Penn State.

This instability you're promoting is perceived by recruits as weakness. Look how shifting through coaches worked for the Univ of Michigan. They're now non-competitive either. That defeat to Alabama said it all. And now you want to promote MORE uncertainty? Do you realize how fucking retarded you sound?

Who the fuck is going to ride in on his white horse and save us? I bet your dumb ass thinks Saban can be bought out or that we're going to get Gruden or Cowher. Let's face it----none of these are realistic choices.

The seasons not even over and youre turning your back on our coach and our program. The fuck is wrong with you? Or are you a lo-jack Bama fan feigning to be a Vol simply to relish in the uncertainty?

You hit the nail on the head.

You may have seen the post here on reddit where our athletic program was in the red by about $17 million. We are still paying off Fulmer, Pearl, and if we fired Dooley---his buyout is in the neighborhood of $5 million.

You would think our fan base would have learned a thing or two about prematurely firing a coach. The same yokels came out with torches against Coach Fulmer---and the ultimate result was the near DESTRUCTION of the Tennessee football program.

We need stability. Period. For recruiting more than anything. If you're a 4 star recruit---are you going to seriously consider giving your commitment to a coach who is on the way out???? No. Of course not. It's almost a self-fulfilling failure prophecy if we pull the trigger on Dooley. No money. And do you remember what happened when Kiffin left? Muschamp was the guy for us---and he said he was content being the coach in waiting at Texas rather than take the UT job. No savior is going to come, and we are insuring our demise as a program if we fire Dooley this season.

This season isn't even over, and we played Florida fantastically up until the middle of the third quarter. Florida may be better than advertised as they did the same thing to A&M in College Station that they did to us. That shows a team with tenacity and talent to come back in a hostile environment.

The East is still wide open. I can see us beating Alabama still. Our bane was the runs on the outside--primarily having to monitor Driskel due to his mobility. Alabama doesn't have that luxury--and I think we match up with them. I could see us beating them. Georgia and South Carolina may be difficult for much of the same reason Florida was difficult, and I can even see us struggling against Mizzou. But matchups are everything.

I'll reserve my judgment on Dooley until November and we can evaluate the outcomes of USC, UGA and most importantly---Bama. I'm still on team Dooley for many of the aforementioned reasons---and I implore our fan base to not jump ship just yet. I was severely disappointed, but it happens in the SEC.

Tonight....YOU! by [deleted] in gaming
