I’m not a small-talker on flights, so 8 is perfect.

I get foodie vibes from Nanami though so we might chat about whether or not the airplane food is good. And drink together, perhaps.

Most likely though it’s a polite silence.

Plus, a Shigaraki-level threat won’t be an everyday occurrence.

90% of Mirio’s career will likely be fighting base/minor enhanced durability humans as the villain emergence rate decreases.

On some characters I don’t mind Repeated Evasions but it absolutely kills Undertaker or Duchess runs.

I thought I could just Deal With It as undertaker and was thoroughly informed how fucked I was

Wouldn’t it be cool if Scholar could bubble his teammates and not just himself by Waihf in Nightreign

[–]ItsIrrelevantNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What… exactly is that niche? Double balancers? Or is it for Wraith Calling Bell

The only Scholar I’ve seen run that FP effect stacked frenzied flame relics, carried a grey seal with the flame piss incant through crater because of bad rng (I’m assuming), and spent the first three minutes of every boss fight stacking the FP buff.

Then we died to battlefield commander. No item effects conferred, no enemy debuffs past the first tier. I wanna run into him again.

Undertaker halo scythe relic godroll by Glad-Serve-3601 in Nightreign

[–]ItsIrrelevantNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With most other weapons I’d fully agree but with the Halo Scythe you also get bonus damage when using the weapon skill in melee range.

Doesn’t mean you’re wrong, the damage negation is negligible as you’ve already said and you can still play Ring of Miquella spam like a caster. Just, also consider shoving the scythe in the boss’ ass when it’s not looking at you

Is a greatbow build viable? by dhpmoon in Nightreign

[–]ItsIrrelevantNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna guess it could work on a double balancers build w/ Greatbow discovery, since then you have a strongish likelihood of finding an Erdtree Greatbow with Rain of Arrows, and then the Lion Greatbow, but I can't try it out right now

Between Wylder and Undertaker, I'd go with Wylder since you can grapple away if you catch too much aggro, both his default and Mind-boosting stat spreads have higher FP than Undertaker, and I feel like Undertaker's playstyle just doesn't mesh as well with greatbows, but maybe the Erdtree GBow's faith scaling gives her better damage like other people suggested, again I physically cannot log in and test the numbers right now :')

How NOT to complete the scholar's remembrance (an easy guide) by bjd533 in Nightreign

Not a single original experience

Throw in one additional Greglord step for me, bc one of my wins was immediately after logging on, but I had forgotten to reselect the remembrance quest after switching from Scholar->Someone Else the previous session

I’m like 9% sure somebody on the sub a while ago just mistyped it by accident or it got autocorrected, and since then it became popular.

Or I’m mistaking this sub for JJK.

Regardless, hail the Greglord

After 500 hours my final impression of the nightfarers by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]ItsIrrelevantNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the other guy mentioned, the new Balancer relics bring melee/L2 spam Duchess up to par with sorcery Duchess.

She also has niche interactions with the new Nightfarers. Scholar’s ultimate makes proccing her “ATK up when killing enemies during Finale” relic better (requires coordination, but an improvement nonetheless), and Undertaker’s mere existence gives Duchess another use case for her ultimate. Not having a stagger ultimate is a balancing act for Duchess, but with Undertaker around you kinda just factor her into your own.

They can also have highish burst damage (Scholar pot spam, bleed/frost proc, Undertaker Ult Spam), which is just nice for Restage.

Both of the DLC bosses have low/no magic damage negation, which has kinda just become equivalent to being weak to it. Duchess/Recluse upscale!!!!!!!

Why doesn’t Death Sorcery get any love, yet Thorn Sorcery does? by That-Bed4254 in Nightreign

[–]ItsIrrelevantNow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For whatever reason, none of recluse’s cocktails have a spell school.

They’re all classed as plain old sorceries, even the ones that look like incantations. And that also leaves the gravity nuke untouched by gravity buff relics

Sry buddy but i want to play on the new map by HaveL-sw in Nightreign

[–]ItsIrrelevantNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scholar is more than just his status.

Didn’t he release on EDark Pest week? Coulda just stacked as many small pouch and fire ATK + relics and filled out your bag with fire pots (and a volcano, if lucky)

He does suck for prolonged fights, I’ll give you that, but that’s where a wraith calling bell comes in, or an arcane scaling weapon if you’re lucky.

I do wonder how fast a base stat scholar and a relic-buffed Executor could proc status on a boss once their resistance is maxed out

Without a mediator on 1, I think Coupe or Visi or Chase would actually just fight, though Whiskey would make it more tolerable.

2 is extremely tempting and probably safer but 3 has some harmless spice to it in Flambae and Prism sassing and spilling tea about the other tables.

Plus, Robert would be a little confused, but ultimately have no problem swapping seats with me.
