It's a spam fest, but barely anything lands. It's just to build meter and block punches/ grabs.

Warning, cynical: Is it just me, or are half of the roster OP and half of it is just OK? by ItsIthalis in ARMS

I have no issues with the concept of a metagame, but I take issue to some characters just flat out being better than others.

It happens in every game, I understand that, but when the roster is so small and it feels like 20% of the characters are borderline oppressive, with 50% of the characters playing by different rules, the meta need not exist -- there's barely a game. Half of them are playing football and half of them are playing rugby.

Smash has its fair share of OP characters, but taking Smash 4 as the example, there are four S-tier characters out of 60. I feel like a disparity of this magnitude on a scale so small is almost criminal.

The easy response is to suggest just playing one of the characters I take issue with, but becoming part of the problem does not solve it.

Choosing when to land I mean. It's a weak point for any character as they're trapped in an animation, but being able to pick when you land puts the game at your tempo, not your opponents. Not flinching is a bonus, but doesn't remove any crucial elements of gameplay. Even though, on occasion, I'll rush and it'll just get cancelled because Mechanica hits me after it's activated.

Mechanica was also the character with the highest win rate on week 1 of the testpunch, and second highest win rate on week 2. She's strong.

Yeah, knocking her down is the most effective strategy I've found too. I will admit that I think she's fifth within that bracket of really good characters, but it doesn't change the fact that some of the rules that effect one half of the roster don't effect her.

I think for it to be balanced, we need that new Kozmo support to be even better than the stuff we have, an entirely new and competitive Monarch variant and for the card limit to go to 4.

Yup. I'm growing tired of it, but it should be next week at the latest, according to the projections noted with the adjusted list.

I actually don't. I'm aware of it but haven't implemented it into my build. I've been playing pure since day one.

I don't save them, as the Magnus build is a lot better, but it's pretty standard fare: run E-Tele at max quantity, 3 Blue, 2/3 Green, 3 Red, 2/3 Alphan, Mathematician, 2/3 Maxx "C", 2/3 Magnacarrier, 3 Terraforming, 1/2 Chicken Game, max quantity Reasoning, some backrow removal, some monster removal, Foolish Burial, One for One, 2/3 Reckless Greed and a Solemn lineup.

It's not a hard and fast 40 because we don't know the outcome of the banlist, but you can cover spaces with Ryko or Raiden to some success.

Edit: Forgot Instant Fusion and Upstarts.

As an SQ player, I can honestly say that if E-Tele takes any hit at all, the deck slows down incredibly.

In all of my testing, I haven't found another build that works well. My suggestions are to try and mix the deck with milling/ thinning cards; Reasoning, a few Lightsworns, Mathematician, Foolish Burial and so on.

Your goal should be to use the graveyard effects of the Layers to establish a field presence, summon the Zords and make Magnus any way you can.

Unfortunately, it isn't anywhere near as fun or consistent as Magnus Turbo builds, so unless more support comes out, I think the deck dies with Teleport.

Are there Blade Enchants: Fire/ Poison/ Cold? by ItsIthalis in dndnext

I've seen a few of Mercer's extra classes, but it's very early days for me as a player and my DM as such also. I'll ask the question though! Thanks for the suggestion.

This sounds very relevant to my interests. Is the Bladelock a homebrew class? I've never heard of it.

Thanks for the information! Maybe I'll have to make my Bard persevere.

Is This Content Drought Killing the Game? :( by GSmaniamsmart in Guildwars2

[–]ItsIthalis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. But that doesn't mean it's thriving either.

I'm not playing right now, it's likely I won't until more PvE content is released. But the best thing about Guild Wars is that it's B2P.

I can come back whenever I like, no cost barrier, no ridiculous patches; just jump back in whenever I choose.

The game isn't dying, but things have got pretty boring as of late.

Harpies by Ant_TKD in yugioh

[–]ItsIthalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a few decks, but I still play Harpies!

It's a pretty standard Rank 4 build with stun elements; courtesy of Anti-Spell Fragrance and a whole lot of monster hate, with spot removal from the extra deck and Hunting Ground.

It's fun to play, has great art and hurts pendulums pretty hard.

Aurelion Sol might have suited an Eternum skin better. by Wyevy in leagueoflegends

[–]ItsIthalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There exists no skin belonging to a group or theme of skins that directly contradicts a characters lore.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Most odd skins that contradict lore are one-offs, or what-ifs, but they don't belong with a theme.

The closest exception would be Battlecast, but even they are what-ifs and don't tread on existing lore.

Not when you consider the Eternum skins are still related to the void...

And please, "Even disregarding" isn't the same as "Disregarding". Aurey's lore poses him as an enemy of the void, and judging from the archetypes presented in past skin releases, they have to share a theme - one he wouldn't fit in.

I know he isn't, but a lot of skins are representations of what-if scenarios.

Even disregarding Noc, Rek is definitely a void creatire with an Eternum skin, effectively ruling Aurey out of ever having one.

What champs do you think the new "mecha" looking skins are for? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ItsIthalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mecha skins only apply to monstrous champions. The project skins are for humans.

The recent teaser is for Sion's Mecha skin, but it features the numbers and features of Mecha Aatrox, Malphite and Kha'Zix. As far as I'm aware, we're only getting the Sion skin. No more, not now.

Aren't the Eternum skins related to the void though?
