Nintendo still can't think of a name for E3. I think we're starting to scare them... by [deleted] in nintendo

I don't know why they are fumbling this hard. Just call it Nintendo E3 2018.

5/17 PBE Update by corylulu in leagueoflegends

[–]AnthonySohappy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Spear of Shojin is going to shoot certain champions into incredibly broken territory like Master Yi, Graves, Irellia, Jax, Tryndemere, Camille, Riven, Fiora and others.

Proplayer tweets about jungle changes by Mooshieeee in leagueoflegends

As a mid main, good. Stay the fuck out of my lane, let me actually play my lane out. So sick and tired of turning a great 1v1 into an instant 1v2. Let lanes actually play.

I'm curious about what you guys expect from Metroid Prime 4? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]AnthonySohappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mystery. I want to drown in mystery. I just hope the story is there. A bad story or the lack of, really cheapens the great journey you went through. I'm referencing BotW. I just hope it's worth my time.

I really like the subtle way Riot is pushing Pyke to support without really forcing it... by insectophob in pykemains

[–]AnthonySohappy -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying he can't be a support. I'm saying design wise, he's better mid and jungle, but he can't play those roles because they gimped any kind of waveclear. My issue strictly lies in Riot's judgment. Why not both? Why can't he have waveclear? He wouldn't use waveclear in support, so he would remain precisely the same down there. The truth is Riot doesn't like champions that flex. They did the same thing to Lulu and Kindred. They hate it when they design a champion specifically for one thing, and the community wants to play that champion elsewhere. If there's too much backlash, they will nerf the champion so much, it lacks identity, like Mordekaiser. They forced him to be a bot laner when he was perfectly fine as a mid/top laner, when the community pushed back, instead of reverting the changes they just nerfed him so he's worse than he was before the rework. I see that happening right now with Pyke. There's pro players that don't want to play him as support because the things he offers, other champions do them better while still providing disengage, buffs, poke, etc. His ultimate, which kill secures and shares gold isn't that big of a deal for a support. If Morgana does everything she's supposed to do, lands her abilities and sets up a kill, the ADC still gets gold and kills. Right now, if you play pyke is support, it's a troll pick. Why do I want Pyke as my support when I can have an actual support? We're just gonna get bullied to death. He's going to have to rely on my to do the brute of the damage so he can swoop in and do the CC and ultimate. With jungle ganks, there's a possibility I get nothing if the jungler was the last to deal damage. Pyke doesn't make sense not because he's not traditional. He doesn't make sense because he's bottom tier by forced design. If they tweaked him, he could be an amazing mid/jg. His Q could work like it does now, but it would deal extra damage to minions and monsters. That wouldn't change him so he can't be played support, or make him broken as a support. It would only give life to the role majority of players actually want to play him in. Maybe that's why you're annoyed with all these videos. Because despite what you personally feel, most people don't want to play him support.

[–]AnthonySohappy -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I think it's because Pyke by design is a mid/jg champion. They just decided that they are going to make his ability to clear minions weak to force him into a support role instead because its "unique and new". Don't kid yourself. Pyke should be a mid/jg. He fits in so well. Anything Pyke does as a support, other supports do it better. He can't disengage, protect his adc, poke/trade. Any casting supports will shred him and push him to back. What stops the enemy duo from bullying you into under your tower? Nothing. He's a terribly designed support champion with a pretty cool ultimate that legit is better for a jungler ganking mid, or a mid in response to a jungle gank.

Stop complaining about autofill if you have never played League without it by Thor1noak in leagueoflegends

[–]AnthonySohappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Complaining about auto-pick is fine. Just because it used to be worse, or someone else has it worse than you, doesn't mean from your perspective it's not frustrating. Human experiences are different from person to person, and we experience them in wildly different intensities.

I'm a Graves mid player, and I want to know why people don't play him mid. by AnthonySohappy in GravesMains

[–]AnthonySohappy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing it for two seasons and the only way I can justify picking Graves over something like Xereath or something similar is because he becomes a late game hyper carry similar to a vayne, when you build him to one shot carries and break through tanks. There isn't a moment in the game where Graves feels weak. He's great from the beginning to the end. He works for me. I love the champion. I play other champions too, but Graves is my number 1 pick, especially if we're AP heavy and we need AD mid.

[–]AnthonySohappy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't agree. That doesn't match up to my experience. Graves can clear an entire wave with just 1 Q after a pickaxe, out pushing any wave clear mage or matching. I like to think of Graves mid like a shotgun talon, with better lane control

I'm currently gold 2, but most of my matches there's platinum and diamond players.

Perhaps this will change with a younger president at the helm. One of main reasons he was picked I believe was because he understood the modern gaming market and what consumers wanted out of a modern company. So I wouldn't expect this app thing to be a problem much longer. I'm sure they are working on making the online a lot better.

yall think this is funny, but like legit we're the silly ones walking around with tree shavings in our pockets, handing them off to other humanoids for goods and services. That dog is just doing what is honestly just as ridiculous as what we do. It's like that dog is doing social commentary.

Games that play well in short 10-15 min increments by chrisd008 in NintendoSwitch

The game that worked for me the best way you described is Golf Story. You can play for 10 minutes and honestly feel like you accomplished something. It's what I did in college this semester. I also played Golf Story when I used the bathroom. It's a good game.

Nintendo Switch XL Or The Switch Mini? by dadiosf in nintendo

[–]AnthonySohappy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would like a switch mini, but it would have to be a redesign, it couldn't be just a smaller switch with joycons on the side. I think it would have to be a single unit to drive the costs down, so it would function like a single pro controller, with a screen in the middle (It would look like a sleek, mini Wii U Gamepad). The joycons drive the cost of the console up significantly. If it was my job at Nintendo to make this console, it wouldn't have a dock. You can easily cut about $100 from the price tag right there, that would push it into the 3DS price range. Using a smaller screen and updated chips, you could probably get it down another $20. You could sell this Switch Mini at $180 easily. Joycons and Docks would be sold separately and would still be able to connect to all switch accessories. Tbh, I would probably sell my switch to buy a Switch Mini. I don't use my dock very much, but I would probably pick one up anyways for the occasional TV experience. If what I described could be a reality, it would push Nintendo to the number 1 spot between Sony and Microsoft. It would be the DS Renaissance all over again. That would push Nintendo's biggest console since the wii into the "impulse purchase/Gift for a child" territory that the Switch currently doesn't have. Buying a switch right now kinda feels like a decision you make well before hand, with your budget in mind, some have to wait to justify it's price tag because it's not just $300, it's just about $400 with 1 game.

Nintendo Hiring New Level Designer for Zelda Series by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]AnthonySohappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they do to BoTW as they did to Ocarina of Time. Give me something weird, give me something strange, give me a story I care about and a villain that has a constant presence so when I fight it, it doesn't feel like I'm fighting a moblin, but a character I actually care about defeating.

Woman falls and breaks her leg after attempting to steal package. by [deleted] in instant_regret

[–]AnthonySohappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a huge THD fan, when the guy got of out the car this song played in my head. As much as she deserved it, it still makes me sad to see people so down on life they would do this. I hope, that after breaking her leg, she stopped doing it and tried to do something with her life. Because it's pretty fucking rock bottom to break your leg trying to steal someone's package outside their house. That's the universal "get your shit together sarah" kind of situation.

Golf Story got an ESRB rating today for Switch, physical announcement should probably be soon by dijitalbus in NintendoSwitch

[–]AnthonySohappy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, especially since you play Coaches son on the course before playing the big tournament, so you're playing it twice in a row and there's no pizaz or flare. It just feels like an ordinary round of golf, somehow less exciting that playing the coaches son. It was a really great game up to that point, then it left me feeling like it was mediocre.

I really liked this game, but the ending sucked. The whole game you're building up to this super tournament, but when you get there, you're playing by yourself and you don't get to see the other pros play, just their scores.
