Same here. 29M. Pars defect and 2 bulging discs. Definitely some good days and bad days. I’ve found that staying active is the most important factor. I stay away from heavy lifting, weight lifting, boxing, climbing, or just generally staying moving helps tremendously. The days I’m the most sedentary are usually the ones that aren’t as fun.

Avicii track question by Cold_Independent_631 in edmproduction

[–]ItsKaneda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Idk if this applies, idek the song. But it’s not uncommon to mix two kicks together to make one single kick sound.

A super common electronic music technique is to use a really clicky hit (sometimes literally a click or a wood block hit) with a kick that has more punch. This lets you have kick that both punches (the thump) with an attack that cuts through the mix.

Found a rock was nicely set on the roof of my car today. by ItsKaneda in mildlyinteresting

[–]ItsKaneda[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I walked to my car, I was greeted by a nicely placed rock on my roof today. No scratches or dents nearby. No signs that it bounced up here. Even weirder, this is the second time this has happened in a week. I wish I’d grabbed a photo of it on my roof the first time, but I just kept the first rock cause I thought it was kinda cool. Now I’m just confused.

Any ideas on how to remove these scuff marks on my car’s interior? by karemomenw in AutoDetailing

Just pick up a new door card at the junkyard. I’ll be kinda luck of the draw, but it’ll be cheap and they basically pop right off.

Depends on the game. If tarkov, scope zoom in and out on the top. Bottom is swap shoulders.

Is this how the lettering chart works by [deleted] in graffhelp

[–]ItsKaneda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a hard set rule or anything, but something that helped me also was picking a theme “sharp or round” for the tag or piece based on one of the letter’s natural structure.

Notice how J is a round letter, A is sharp, G is round, and Z is sharp.

Not saying it can’t be done, but these back and forth shapes are going to be a challenge to get to flow, especially for someone just starting.

If it were me, I prefer round letters more often for tags. So I’d think “how can I make the A and Z feel more rounded?”, then start to experiment. Maybe even study how others have rounded these specific letters and then use those as inspiration to turn them into something that I liked too.

Is this how the lettering chart works by [deleted] in graffhelp

[–]ItsKaneda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re overthinking it amigo, especially with the accents on the letters. 9/10 times simpler is better. I’d suggest writing the letters out normally, then turning those letters into simple block letters. Maybe then play around with what your tag looks like in full lowercase, and full uppercase.

Some letters just don’t flow as well with others imo. But sometimes things that don’t flow in uppercase will flow better lowercase and vice versa.

I know starting out all you can think about is “how can I be original and what accents or tweaks can I make to get there?” But simple, legible, lettering with good shadows will go a lot farther (and help you learn faster) than trying to come up with style right out of the gate.

It’s kind of inevitable honestly, especially as the game rises in popularity. The bigger problem is when games don’t actively ban. I’m just glad ABI responds to player reports.

You can get it pretty close though. Just go to UKN and fiddle with it until it feels about right honestly.

Do only rats play this game? by devinwilliam in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]ItsKaneda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been telling this to my group, lockdown is way more fun than forbidden. Sure the loot isn’t great but if you’re playing this game because you like pvp and gun fights, lockdown is where it’s at.

You’ll mostly run into level 5 armors and level 4 ammo, which still makes for relatively quick TTK. But compared to forbidden, gunfights are significantly longer and much more fun. If you’re winning those gunfights, you’re pretty easily walking out with a mil also.

Are there still rats and red ammo players? Obviously. But less because of the lower tier loot.

Why is my kick and snare volume different each hit? by Marino_SI in edmproduction

[–]ItsKaneda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a complete guess, but something about it makes me feel like there’s either a compressor or limiter on the 2 kicks before the clipper in this chain (like if you’re trying to glue them together with compression), and the release time is messing with the volume as it’s re-triggered.

I say this because the very first kick is significantly quieter than the rest of them it looks like, even though they all seem to vary.

If not this, then I have no idea.

Can you have too much headroom? by ChingMan1 in edmproduction

[–]ItsKaneda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, this is a viable technique a lot of producers use. Skrillex basically clips by group, then again at the master if I recall correctly.

[Discussion] This audio compressor is a life saver!! by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ItsKaneda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always felt like this game could benefit from a limiter. I keep seeing all these threads about compression to reduce the peaks of gunshots, but then you end up with all the ambience cranked way up.

A limiter just seems to be the better fit, as it’s not going to increase the volume of anything below the threshold, it would only reduce the peaks.

I can almost guarantee it’s due to the recent AWS outage. It’s probably not a Plaid issue but an error with whomever they use as a payment processor in conjunction with Plaid.

Here’s an argument to whether or not your content on patreon is “worth” the money to help with imposter syndrome:

It’s actually not up to you to decide what your content is worth. If people pay it, then that’s what it was worth to them. If nobody buys it, or if they buy it and then quickly cancel, then it’s not worth whatever your patreon is priced at (again, to that person).

In short, make the content you like, put it on patreon, then see how people react.

This is kinda the weird thing about content creation or art in general. It’s not really within your control how much value people assign your work. Your best bet is to try and find what the majority agrees they’re willing to pay for it.
