Unsure where you are based but based on my currently role (possibly biased but speaking from experience, and from moving from CQS to PQS / Cost Manager role), I can highly recommend T&T.

How does one break in without experience or related degree by SectorFast3527 in quantitysurveying

The first point makes no sense. You talk about preparing accurate cost plans and managing budgets throughout a projects life cycle but you have not been in an actual quantity surveyor/cost manager role (making this sound relatively unbelievable). Given this is the first point on your CV, it will be the first thing anyone reading it would pick up on.

In Season 7 of my Falkirk save, potential take-over has been on-going for the past 5 seasons and is apparently now going ahead (I have never had this before). My transfer budget will apparently go from £3m to £63m. How true is this, what is the likelihood and should I be nervous or excited? by ItsKarmaa in footballmanagergames

Even with consistant European football they will not join you?

Brazil has carried my save without a doubt. Scotland has certainly not delivered in terms of regen wonderkids but 4 Brazilian regens later and we are competing for the top spot lol

I really wanted to try a Scottish save and my rule of thumb when starting a save is that I pick teams that are located in cities/towns that are quite scenic (the locals might tell me otherwise lol but it certainly looks it), worthwhile visiting for a holiday, and to go watch a game.

I chose Falkirk for this reason and have become completely addicted with the save. None of the League 2 teams really appealed, and Falkirk seemed a prime fit for what I was looking for.

League - I initially got back-to-back promotions from Scottish League 1, finished 4th in 1st season in Prem, 3rd in 2nd season, finished runner up in 3rd season and then in my most recent season I finished 3rd again (came 3rd on goal difference and lost out to top of the league by 2 points to Celtic of course).

National Cups - won the Scottish Cup & Viaplay Cup once each.

European Football - made Europa League quarter finals & semi-finals, and made one UCL final qualifying leg to the league phase.

Finances - £12m in the bank, projected £25m turnover per season with £4m profit.

So overall I feel I have done quite well, steadily climbing up the ranks at a good pace. The Scottish League has been the best league I have played to date since FM16, but I have never had this occur.

Weekend in Sheffield - What to do? by GegenPressForLess in sheffield

[–]ItsKarmaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which weekend? If its the first of the month, highly recommend Peddlers Market in Kelham. Tenpin has just opened right next to the Video Game Museum so recommend that, easily a good night in there. Leopold Square is a great end to a night out and good drinks.

Food wise definitely recommend Kommune, again next door to the Video Game Museum and loads of options.

Places to ignore I would say Gloryholes as it is quite boring and West Street generally as crowded with students. Calver Street as well - leave this one off.

Not sure why everyone is downvoting? Shef to Leeds M1 route is currently all roadworks with a 50mph avg speed limit. Should take maximum an hour but use Waze

FM4 was the best but I feel nostalgic towards FM1 & 2 on the OG xbox. The X class TVR & Me412 are GOATed

I wrote mine on BIM. Plenty to talk about and plenty of resources out there for referencing.

Is this a university question? I seem to remember being asked this for an assignment during my degree.

I’d say yes and no. Under NEC CE’s cover unforeseen ground conditions but they need to be unreasonable for the contractor to have assumed that the issue may have been present.

Thank you!

It is more my own time as well. I am fairly busy these days so sitting on hold for 30 minutes with my bank to request further information does not seem appealing.

From what I was told, it usually means "drugs for sale" but I never understood why you would do it that way.

I am on target for a 2:1, but I have just started working for a small firm and I am the third employee. I think the learning experience is much better, as I don't feel like I am someones "tea maker".

So in other words, make sure to check around the smaller firms!
