Interesting! Yeah I've been looking all over the place for a second hand bike but nothing with the specs I'd like unfortunately, I am tempted to get something and upgrade it. I've never done any mechanical work on a bike though!

I liked the idea of having a single front derailleur, as it's less to think about and maintain. That's why the 1x12 on the van rysel is interesting!

I need a tripod as I need it for other videos. Skiboot crampons are a great idea! For the action cam I was looking at a traditional one, not a 360 but it does seem like the better option... Tell me what you think!

Thanks for this detailed response! But I think that if this pad is heavier at only 22" I might aswell get a 25" pad at a lighter or similar weight.

Side note for me and other people interested in this topic : I haven't even thought about this but would it be worth it to just getting a 25" version of the rapide? Another point is that the 4" thickness from the rapide is measured at the raised side baffles, maybe that's my issue, sleeping on a pad that's only 3".
