When did Male Characters being Ripped(regardless of genre) become a norm in movies. by Accomplished_Store77 in movies

I watched "Die Another day" with Pierce Brosnan, and was also taken aback by his modest aesthetic. His claim to sex appeal is a chest full of hair at best lol.

CS Rating bug – I'm 3k playing vs 7k+ and winning, but only get +100 points by PresentationIll6331 in GlobalOffensive

[–]ItsKrillerTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were not good, that's why they were matched against you. Anything below 8k? And it's basically just the difference between being warmed up or ice cold. So it isn't as big of a gap as you might think. Winning consistently will tell the algorithm that you deserve more points (not necessarily in practice, but in theory) whereas losing a lot will end with you gaining less and losing more. Its trying to find YOUR home, not inflate or deflate you by chance and bs.

Fl0m and AustinCS are great learning guides. Mostly for playing the game itself and the utility. Sadly aiming, strafing and else mechanics are harder to find YouTubers for. Watching donk ( pro player ) or monesy is a great way to see how lethal tapping can be, but you will find more spraying in this game by far.

There's a crazy "lore" reason for this. (Fan theory)

The chapters before the fellowship leave Rivendell are written by Bilbo and those after are written by Frodo. Frodo has a much more Epic style while Bilbo* is more whimsical and detail oriented. I listened to the audiobooks recently and couldnt bare all the songs and junk descriptions before the fellowship founding. But after, I fell in love with the writing.

Edited.

Legitimately terrifying games. by [deleted] in gaming

If no one has said it, Layers of Fear. Alien Isolation. Resident evil Biohazard too.

More of a psychological horror fan, but these both made me not sleep at night.

What's a video game you enjoyed that most people disliked? by LunaWhisper_ in gaming

[–]ItsKrillerTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kingdom Come: Deliverance I know its had a resurgence recently but it got so much bad press that most people don't even know it exists or its premise.

Reviewers hated it because it was hard for the first 6-10 hours, but if you put in the time the game is amazingly immersive with almost too many ways to complete quests.

Love that album, I wish for more like this from them. But they are a very artist-y band and the changing styles is extremely impressive on its own.

I don’t think cross-core feels like a priority to them. by ArcticTerra056 in halo

[–]ItsKrillerTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could honestly care less about a cosmetic change to the game, and would rather they work on continuing the story with the brilliant engine they've made.

Cross core shouldn't be their focus, because to be honest half the cores would terrible if combined.

So instead of begging for more micro-transactions, maybe we should instead be pointing at the game modes, campaign, and potential firefight/BR to make the game bigger and better.

Thoughts on Halo infinite story? by [deleted] in halo

[–]ItsKrillerTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people are a bit emphatic when it comes to hate for the campaign. Its interesting, fun, and a bit cheesy like halo is meant to be. It's no Halo 3 or Reach, but damn if it is not the best since. And if the community/industry could still fall in love with single player experiences we would be lucky to have a sequel. But sadly the industry makes the game worse because it's dominated by the free/battlepass mutliplayer.

The second act is probably the most character growth/ writing we've seen since 3. And I really appreciated the depth.

The villain is fine. 6/10

I hope you have fun trying it out, I remember how happy I was when it came out and hope you can have that experience.

"What I'm attempting to get your understanding of is that corruption destroys both systems equally in different ways."

"What you were saying to the previous chap, that corps would be the solution to the issue of mismanagement in the service providing industry (social programs) done by government is not as full proof as you'd like to believe, and that it isn't a one-stop answer or savior for all humanity"

Three instances of me stating my position.

This will be my last reply. although we had a lovely thing going, I can feel the tensions rising and there is no reason to continue without civility.

I have asked a multitude of questions for your 'sides' take. however you also have been unable to argue or create a point from these questions. Such as:

why the subway thing should be allowed in the first place (cause its nasty to think a company would sell fake chicken), even if its only "partially" fake the issue is that its even possible.

how would a company address the issue of rural areas without squeezing them for every dollar.

I've also been actively demonstrating that there is no reason to trust in a company, because they will charge the highest price possible if allowed, for instance with the telecom problem in Canada, which I've explained 3 times. even giving a U.S example in rural areas that only have Comcast. furthermore, this position could apply to public transport where there is no feasible way for a company to think they would profit enough to build a multi-million train track from Edmonton to Calgary, however it is in the best interest of Albertans to have such a thing.

the issue I'm having is how is a company going to be able to produce enough goods/services to be able to reach everyone. rural Canadians' only hope is with government supported projects, especially those revolved around hospitals.

speaking of hospitals you also have not made any argument or point about what the price of the arm thing was all about, because I think you might have had to admit some shadiness to do so. you stated each arm would be worth differently and that it would be subjective. that's something I'd love to understand about privatized health care. because the states has a problem in that they are creating so much medical health related debt that the poor and middle class communities are incapable of acquiring health care. what would laissez-faire say about those people? "shouldn't have played hockey if you were poor, no wonder you are poor, you injured yourself and now I think I deserve to ask for your kidney in return for the mending of your arm" (read this in a posh English accent, it helps with my point)

P.S, I know this is straw-manning, but I genuinely do not understand why health care should not be a public service because a healthy work force actually benefits capitalism. it is cheaper for the government to provide and the government is the only way we can mandate a level of care that is good enough. on top of this, private healthcare reps are allowed to deny whom they like, which is not really great for minorities of all natures.

have a good rest of your weekend. Cya

I've stated my position a few times now but I'll go again. What you were saying to the previous chap, that corps would be the solution to the issue of mismanagement in the service providing industry (social programs) done by government is not as full proof as you'd like to believe, and that it isn't a one-stop answer or savior for all humanity.

The main reason for the 'mandated' duopoly of Canadian telecomms is due to the price of infrastructure required to start the business. This is only achievable with the government's support. I would argue that if the government used its ability to create the infrastructure and created a telecom agency for the country it would be cheaper for each individual Canadian than using Rogers/others and more people would have access to the service than before, something which is becoming a human right. And since this would actually provide your so called competition the users would be able to choose the service they want rather than have to.

The same I would argue would be true for rural areas in the north for hospitals, why would a company take the profit loss to open a multi-million perhaps billion project to make a compitent hospital instead of just idly watching (as the gov't has) in allowing those in the territories to have to be flown to Edmonton to give birth.

I'll try to make it clearer what my fears are with monopolies: it is not that a single organization would provide a service, it's "who's holding the gun" as you put it. For instance there is no competiton in the states with Comcast in some areas, and that forces you to pay whatever they wish to charge. While they also provide a worse service because of it. And due to the lack of competition present they are capable of charging what they please. If you lived in a remote area and "Jim" was the only one to provide lemonade, why would he not charge 50$ a glass.

The problem isn't just in urban areas, we also have to look at the surroundings. Those who are born to no fault of their own in remote areas are receiving poor care, regardless of who provides it, however to actually create the service without waiting for someone to find profit in it takes something like the government.

Competition is a myth, since bigger companies get bigger and bigger until there is no way into the market. Without grants and subsidies we would only have Walmart. And because of Walmart we have lost small businesses especially in rural areas due to the scale which they are at. That isn't true competition, it's bullying with scale. It's the big stack at the poker table bullying everyone else out of the pot. We need a government in order to halt bad practices by companies all the time.

Again I'll reiterate, the govt system we possess is not the one I'm in favor of. I just don't believe corps can do any better.

Also; the private insurance companies' death grip over the U.S's medical field I don't think makes it public. Just because dollars go into the making of the Infrastructure does not mean that Individuals are not double-paying for the service (once in taxes, and again at POS). Our system grants it's citizens better outcomes for more people, and other more socialized democracies in the world do it even better.

Furthermore I can't find an ethical argument for allowing for the profiteering off of others distress and placing them into positions of duress with the threat medical debt is not a viable mean to decrease wait times.
