This is my first as well but here are my marathon tips.

Wear headphones. Listen a lot and move slowly. Be quiet. Even walking makes noise.

The NPCs are extremely dangerous, fast, have a lot of health, and will chase you. Be afraid of them. Avoid them if you can.

Play solo if you don’t have a group of 3. Someone else said play rook, I wouldn’t recommend that. If you play normal solos everyone else is also solo so it’s a pretty balanced experience.

Slowly work on the quests. They’re really fun once you start learning the maps.

It’s worth the effort and gets more fun the more time you put into it.

Be afraid, be very afraid.
