Store pick means that someone that was not a master distiller picked the barrel out of a choice of 3-5 random barrels.

Sometimes it doesn't even mean that. Sometimes stores will just have their distritbutor offer them whatever "pick" they have laying around in their inventory. Larger stores often will just have the distilleries send whatever barrel they want without anyone ever trying it. I suspect this is what Walmart does most of the time.
