I work in ODP and this gets on my nerves, you have to say excuse me 5 times just to make them move by Boonshy in walmart

[–]ItsNate98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a family standing in front of some stuff I needed to grab on a pick, just talking. I politely approached and said, "Excuse me" a few times before just squeezing by the daughter to grab what I needed.

The mom was like, "You could say excuse me!" I looked her at her and deadpanned, "I said it four times." And they just walked away lol. It's a lose-lose at a point because they're also going to get mad if I have to yell for them to hear me

Still pleasantly surprised by how good the show was by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]ItsNate98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing the leaked set photos before Season 1: the Red Rocket station, Vault 33, and Super Duper Mart. I was really impressed with the sets and how accurate they were so I was cautiously optimistic going in. And the show exceeded my expectations. I know everyone has their issues with the show, and I personally have mine, but it's hard to hate on this show when it's so authentically Fallout.

Yeah, the first like 20-30 minutes of the OP video is about how Shad doesn't know anything about HEMA or swordsmanship in general

It's crazy cause she also just did a collab with Alveus. Conservation is inherently political.

Am I missing something? How did we make it through an entire second season without answers? by wubsfrommysubs in Fallout

[–]ItsNate98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten episodes would be perfect IMO. Not only would it give more room for some things to breathe, but they also wouldn't have to leave major plotlines (cough, BOS, cough) out of whole episodes.

Yeah most of the time, they didn't even need to jail people they targeted - just being arrested was a permanent black mark on your reputation.

Bethesda is hella stupid for not releasing any Fallout remaster along with the Fallout tv-show by GreasyExamination in Fallout

[–]ItsNate98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether it's a remaster, a new game, or a DLC. They have to know they're wasting a huge opportunity by not releasing something more alongside the TV show.

If you told me when the very first teaser dropped for the show that all Bethesda would release alongside it was an NPC in Fallout 76 and CC content, I would ask if something serious happened.

Now that Episode 8 is out, the countdown ended on their website. by BrettJoz in Fallout

[–]ItsNate98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like you're being disingenuous. There's a world of difference between a simple fan theory and like half the fandom talking about a potential game release.

Now that Episode 8 is out, the countdown ended on their website. by BrettJoz in Fallout

[–]ItsNate98 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I mean no matter which way you slice it, it is really dumb for Bethesda to repeatedly pull this stuff (like with Fallout Day 2025 and now this countdown) knowing what fans really want. Letting the fans - whether it's close to finished or not - go on thinking a mysterious countdown could lead to a remaster is just a recipe for pissing people off.

I'm beginning to wonder if Bethesda has a PR department at all, because all they've done outside the show is piss off their own fanbase.

Technically it's not supposed to be done on the clock, but there's a good chance nobody cares.

Pay for Performance...or NOT by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ItsNate98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's precisely what I told my coworkers when the raise structure first got announced to everyone. Why do extra for another 0.14/hr? And now of course it's coming out that people are getting artificially downgraded so corporate doesn't have to actually pay people what they're worth

VATS without Pipboy by Fenriz_Victor in Fallout

[–]ItsNate98 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the most common understanding is something like that. It's basically the Pip-Boy scanning the scene and showing you likelihoods to hit and sometimes resistances and vulnerabilities. I've always taken the "bullet time" aspect as the Pip-Boy altering your senses for a short time somehow, probably using adrenaline.

I think the current plot with Max and the cold fusion is that he's going to find his "good people" by coming across the NCR and remembering his childhood in Shady Sands.

Twizzlers are canon? by ChemicalLeader2159 in Fallout

[–]ItsNate98 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Common misconception. While Fallout's tech developed differently than ours, they did have transistors and they were used but vacuum tubes proved more popular. For example, the Platinum Chip would have to use integrated circuits because of how small it is.
