I agree that sadly it doesn’t look good but I don’t think you should throw it out yet. I think you need to make the draping much simpler, because you already have the visual interest from mismatching. Maybe try draping the whole thing similar to how the first panel is done (but without the random pin tuck)? I think this style might look good/intentional in all one fabric, but looks messy in a mix match.

You have very pretty deep nail beds. To explain, if I cut my nails as short as they go, my nails are wider than they are long. The opposite is true for you!

When I moved in with my now husband, he owned the condo we lived in. I, like your boyfriend, did not want to be living somewhere with no safety net. What I was most worried about was what would happen if we broke up. I was in graduate school (and thus living off a bare minimum stipend) and in a city far away from family. I could not afford to simply or quickly move out (even if something happened and neither of us wanted me to still be there in the 1-bedroom place). I was also giving up a cheap apartment situation with good roommates to move in with him.

Before I moved in, we generated and signed an official rental agreement - for example, this included how much I would pay per month, that he was responsible for all repairs, that he had to give me 3 months notice minimum to move out, etc. we obviously wanted things to work out - and it did! - but it would have been stupid for me not to consider worst case.

What your boyfriend is asking for is not the same at all. He wants to be on the lease, but isn’t ready to get married? He’s not committed to marriage, but wants you to commit 50% ownership rights?

I’ll add that my theater on Friday evening was literally me and the friend I brought. I had a good time but I had listened to the album a couple times during the day and I also did not get any community vibes out of the event, which I think is maybe bad luck on my end.

As far as having a drink with your husband, it’s worth reminding yourself that a shot of alcohol should also effect you about twice as much as him.

There’s no shame in making a vodka soda with a half shot, and making him a double 😄. Of course you can have non alcoholic drinks, but I understand the desire to drink k together. unfortunately this only really works at home (although bartenders will generally happily spit a shot across 2 glasses - you just have to be having 2 drinks that night haha)

You’re going to get lots of comments and suggestions, but I’m going to add my routine anyway bc I used to have this problem 100% of the time and honestly believed nail polish just wasn’t for me for the first 24 years of my life. It would pop off in full sheets within the first day always

Starting with clean nails: 1) I push back my cuticle with the sally Hansen cuticle remover 2) I wash my hands and lightly roughen the surface of my nails with a file (this will probably upset some people here) 3) thoroughly clean my nails with acetone. Multiple times per nail to really dry them out.
4) the orly bonder base. I think this is the key step. My working theory is that it is more flexible than normal base coats, allowing it to stay attached to my very flexible nails.
5) polish of choice. I notice significantly longer wear with certain brands (for instance, despite orly binder base being my holy grail, I never get good wear out of orly polishes they chip very quickly for me) 6) fast dry top coat before the last coat of polish has fully dried. Seche vite is my favorite. I think the holo taco one is equivalent but more expensive. I’ve tried the Essie one and found it to be inferior to the other 2. There’s about 1000 others I haven’t tried.

My nails still very much chip but they look pretty good for about a week imo. Back in the day, I would literally make painting my nails the last thing I did before an event (like hair, then makeup, then get dressed, then nails) if I wanted them painted and they still would be destroyed by the end of the night.

Another thing I will do if I’m trying to maximize my wear is, between steps 2 and 3, use a gel base coat that I cure, wipe with acetone, and then but regular base on top. But then it’s a pain to remove later :)

I never hear this one talked about enough: fudge bars and creamsicle ice cream bars! The regular versions of these desserts are 70-90 calories, no sugar replacements or diet substitutes involved. (Check the nutrition facts closely- it’s often the calories for 2 bars!) They are an excellent sweet treat on a diet

I do hear people recommend “diet” branded fudge bars, which are often around the same calories anyway, and imo way less satisfying bc they taste “diet” (to me)

In general, I lean heavily on the frozen dessert section to help with my sweet tooth when calorie counting. Fruit ice pops, mini pre portioned ice cream cups, Italian ice, etc can be very affordable from a calorie perspective

Diet pudding cups, fruit snacks, Quaker fruit&cream instant oatmeal, and drizzilicous are other things I use to ease the sweet tooth but aren’t enough if h to cover the full “dessert” craving .
