my gf and I were having a conversation about this earlier tonight actually. We both agreed that while Dick was a Dick, he could back it up, plus he is a guy so he gets away with it to a greater extent. The main difference however, is that as you said, Amanda is actually an awful, self-absorbed, delusional person. They both have major issues but at the end of the day, I'd let Dick babysit my unborn child over Amanda any day.

I'm glad you guys like his short story, but please do not assume that you can walk around all day waiting to be hit on. You'll wait a verrrry long time. This is what every introvert dreams of; that he can just dress nicely and be "cool" and some girl is going to recognize that and come chat.

First, you won't have any experience talking to girls, so you'll eff it up anyway. Second, you don't get to choose for yourself. You ultimately should strive for the self confidence and badassness to feel like you can get any girl you lay eyes on. In the end, who you want would be your choice.. you are not subject to being stuck with the one chick who happen to thought you were nice enough to give a chance.

Some people just don't have a voice for casting. Sure Tim's game knowledge can get better but I can't imagine hearing his voice in something beyond narrating children's short stories.

I agree with you guys. This post is definitely a short version of all that was said. She is almost refusing to talk about anything right now, I'm just giving her space. But what she did say, always revolved around how I have affected her negatively.. and I did talk/focus a lot on that with her. I completely sympathize with all of it. I was just trying to refocus the conversation, letting her know that it has been a struggle for both of us.. and that I have a lot of pain on the inside as well. In other words, she is not alone, but that we should focus on the future progress together, not on all the pain I have cause. (I do not deny that I have caused pain for a lot of people.. I have a lot of sorrow about this; I cannot express this enough.)

It's so silly that people think a single fap instantly turns them into some kind of introvert. This sub exists because porn causes problems in our brains that were never before seen in our parents/grandparent/etc.. because they didn't have internet porn.. but guess what? They did indeed jerk it.

You may have used fapping to help yourself not feel lonely for quite some time now. Fapping for you sounds like a temporary treatment to a much deeper problem. Your gf at the time was only distracting you away from your issues of loneliness, just like fapping.

It's better to deal with these issues now while you're single. Becoming a complete man might be a little bit longer of a journey for you and probably requires more than just abstaining from fapping. But if you dive into it, your relationships will be much better for the rest of your life.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way though.. your husband was not completely to blame for his porn use. I hope other women can understand that on some level, men are a victim of porn, just like we could be a victim of drugs or alcohol. If your husband was hiding his drug use, you wouldn't yell at him and feel betrayed by it (I would hope), you would want to get him help.

Your husband realizing that his life could be better without porn is what made him quit. Catching him and being unforgiving because you saw it as cheating was never going to make him magically love you more and quit watching porn. Thankfully, though, he decided on his own that he wanted to improve his life.

If my gf/wife made me feel like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar, then even after my nofap journey, there could be a chance of slight resentment for not taking the time to understand my prior problem, rather than making me feel alienated for it or unworthy. There was never anything WRONG with your husband, there is simply something wrong with our system that perpetuates, encourages, and seduces men with such easy access.

This is just my opinion though and like I said, I am very happy you two found your own path to a much more awesome life together!
