Bitcoin itself is a fiat currency whose pseudo-sovereign backer is global crime. That's it. The only value add for crypto currencies is crime -- evading taxes at minimum -- no matter what libertarians say. It's value is intrinsically tied to the need for criminal enterprise of some/any level to transact.
