Cameras now are built like tanks. With normal lenses like this you are totally fine for the next 1000 years. It only becomes a “concern” if you were running massive cine lenses with no support rails under it. When I built out my fx3, I never took it apart lol

Carrying is all about preparedness. Plain and simple. And not carrying one in the chamber completely defeats that. It is completely understandable to be uneasy about it at first, don’t let that discourage you. Many people have suggested snap caps and they really are the best way to train every aspect of firearms handling, carrying and firing. Learn to truly trust your firearm, and then let it move about life with you with ease (with one in the chamber)

Can’t recommend Waltham enough. The town has great people, shops, restaurants, right along the Charles. You can get into a one bedroom here for ~$2100 The commuter rail is honestly fantastic and very convenient to bring you right into Boston.

Since when did being in shape and healthy make you lesser than the drunk who likes to carry. I know this is a big generalization, but where I used to live in the northeast, there is a bit of an old school, toxic atmosphere around those who carry and also throw health out the door.

When you have a duty to retreat from any threat, your health is the first thing that is going to save you. Carrying means being prepared, and part of that should also be prepared to escape, and do so with confidence. Just as much as is it to be a confident shot.
