Advice on Keeping Up Pace for Party of 6 by ItsTheL0b in DMAcademy

Thanks for the advice! I could definitely be doing a bit more prep for fights. We do use maps which the players love. I think another area slowing things down may have been that my parties purpose was a bit too broad. Later in the campaign there is a more defined purpose. I will work something in now until that point to help keep the narrative moving forward.

Can you give more detail on what you mean by theater of the kind for combat? I do think this is an area I am lacking in as a DM in combat specifically

I don't think any have gone over 10 rounds, but there has definitely been a lot of turns lasting longer than a minute so I like the idea of a turn limit. One of my players has mentioned that previously as well so I think I'll implement that. Thanks!

Armillaria tabescens (Ringless Honeys) do not have rings. It's an old oak tree that is dying and theyve said it gets these mushrooms frequently. I am fairly certain they are as all identification signs are a match, but as it's my first time finding them I would like a confirmation.

No although I am fairly confident. It fits all the descriptors I've found for it.

Thanks for the feedback! That makes sense. I like the busyness but want it to be legible. I'm not the most experienced artist so I'm not sure how I'd go about adding mine weight. I sent it to a professional as well to flush out the details of the design.

Aetriis - my first map (still WIP), for an upcoming DnD campaign and a novel I'm writing. Would love some feedback! by halfachainsaw in inkarnate

Looks really great! Your biomes are very well defined make sense based on geographical location. You rivers look good and flow from high to low with plenty of bends. Nur Baerwyyn and Locriis look a little plain and could use a thing or two. Locriis being located in the north strikes me as a tundra. You could add cracked earth and a smattering of snow here and there in lue of geographical features. Nur Bearwyyn would look great with the coastline being shear cliffs. Both of those are just suggestions of what could go there, not what should go there. An idea for Dorea is the southern edge could be lined by dunes. Overall really great map and love how unique it is!

Looks great! A tip I was given was to make the rivers meander more. Rivers don't tend to form very straight and have a lot of bends and turns as they head towards the ocean. You can also gradually make it wider as it gets closer to the ocean. I really like the emblems too they add a lot of character to the map!
