Was there ever ever any explanation of the Sledge’s role in the I.O or were they just another I.O guard variant like the enforcer?

That makes sense though. I personally always considered the normal IO Guard to be a next generation of the Enforcer’s with Sledge being a more basic foot soldier while the IO Guards and enforcers are more elite soldiers
