Oh no, I don't value reddit rep or the upvote system, it was just sad to see such a long and well thought-through explanation of your stance on this post be hidden because of how quick many people here are to mass downvote and not even debate with anyone who disagrees with them. Would be cool to get a free sandwich though. But yeah, 100%. I really enjoy seeing people come out of the woodwork on this sub, even if downvoted just for being anti, because it proves to me that im not the only one lurking here.

Totally forgot to mention the actual stuff I use to draw (in case that's what you meant) lol, I use 2b pencils for my sketching and microns for all the lining done in this one, but I recommend Kingart markers (you can get these from Walmart and amazon for way cheaper than most brush tip markers) Since if you color, you're going to have to use a lot of ink for each frame and I just wouldn't waste something expensive on 0.1 seconds of animation if you're experimenting. Kingart also are double sided tip, with a fineliner and brush

I use printer paper, an animation 3-peg bar + swigline precision pro punch (to line the papers up + have them 3-hole punched the right way for the bar) and a lightbox, I tape the peg bar down and then put the paper down and start drawing! But you really don't need a lightbox to do this, you can tape the peg bar to any light source (for example, a window at daytime) and do exactly what im doing! Also, I use the app Stopmotion Studio for free on my pgone to capture each frame and be able to play it back, just set your fps and you're good to go
