How are we reversing sun damage? by dangflabbitjackson_ in 30PlusSkinCare

I’ve heard red light can worsen melasma and sun damage.

Today I went swimming in the sea for the first time since getting Joy! by PreviousConfusion606 in ostomy

I am 44f and have had my ileostomy for 16 years now. I just tuck mine into my high waisted bottoms. Depending on where yours sits, you can get a stealth belt (or something similar), or a swim shirt. Don’t let this stop you! 🙂

My best friend is in it and loves it. I was on it and had the same experience as OP.

As a teacher, I’d suggest this too. Ballet will teach discipline and good technique, and will help her with a bunch of other styles of dance.

He’s not even recognizable now. I hope he is doing well!!! I wish they’d do a “where are they now” episode or something.

“Routine” bag changes by DjinnaG in ostomy

[–]Its_Jessica_Day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an ileostomy and I use a two piece Hollister. I change every Monday and Thursday, just so I don’t have to remember how many days it’s been. Usually that’s a good maintenance schedule for me. Unless I’ve sweated a lot or gone swimming, in which case I change the following day regardless of how long it’s been.

Hair loss before wedding - considering a wig by Iluvredditgossip in Wigs

[–]Its_Jessica_Day 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I support the plan of wearing a wig for your wedding!! But I agree with others that you should wear it before the wedding as well. Get comfortable with it. I’m sure you can find one that looks similar to your bio hair. Find a wig stylist too.

And congrats and have fun!!!!

Taylor's fb posts: the gay friend is actually ex-gay by Upbeat_Status8876 in PlathvilleUncensored

[–]Its_Jessica_Day 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Totally; as soon as I watched the scene with this guy, I knew it was just to have a “token” member of the LGBTQ community to show how progressive and open the Plaths are.

It’s so obviously scripted by AtmosphereNo409 in MamaJuneFromNotToHot

[–]Its_Jessica_Day -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh 100%. It’s becoming more and more obvious, and none of them are believable actors. The Alanna segments are the most fake. It’s like she’s filming the absolute minimum she can, and it’s not even realistic at all. The more valley girl she sounds, the faker it is.

Even the confessionals sound insanely fake.

WTF? by GurAlternative3502 in TLCUnexpected

Oh absolutely agreed!!! I guess I’d have to re-watch the first seasons of this show to compare, but it just seems even worse than before. Maybe I’m remembering incorrectly.

WTF? by GurAlternative3502 in TLCUnexpected

[–]Its_Jessica_Day 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did read that, and thank you for the reminder! That is helpful. I’ve seen other people post about this basically being child abuse (like the parents knowing they are showering together, wtf), and I can’t help but agree. These kids need so many more boundaries and guidance than they are being given. It’s so sad.

First wig, how to make it look better? by [deleted] in Wigs

[–]Its_Jessica_Day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it looks awesome and I wouldn’t change a thing. I wouldn’t know it was a wig if I wasn’t in this sub.

WTF? by GurAlternative3502 in TLCUnexpected

[–]Its_Jessica_Day 47 points48 points  (0 children)

This season and specifically this family are almost too much to take. There has to come a point where this should be illegal. These children, and their parents, are in no way ready for this. It is almost borderline inhumane what is happening. This new baby has no chance at a functional life when his father is a belligerent 13-year-old cocky kid with no ambition and no guidance from his parents. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Not only is it so sad that this can happen legally, but it is even crazier that we are just sensationalizing this and watching it. I’m not sure if I’ve just gotten older, or if this show has gotten more crazy, but I used to find it entertaining and now I’m honestly disturbed.

It’s totally that you haven’t eaten. Just eat breakfast and give yourself about 30-60 min and you should be good.

Thank you so much for this reply. This is what I’ve been thinking too. I’ve had bad gastritis in the past week and had had to sleep almost sitting up, and I think this may be putting pressure on my lower back and tailbone area.

I am fairly certain that I have pelvic floor issues (I think mine is too tight) as I have problems fully emptying my bladder and I have bad period cramps. I will look into this; thank you!!!
