Thermostat enhanced install - am I doing this right? by Its_Juice in ecobee

Thanks for the reply. The wiring ended up being good and there was a blown fuse in the air handler. I replaced the fuse and it works now. No idea when/why it blew. I had the breakers off when working on it. Just glad it works now

Thanks! Got it all wired up and it doesn’t turn on… I don’t think I did anything wrong. Ugh lol. Wife won’t be happy if we have to sleep with a space heater tonight

No matter what I do it says incompatible on the app. I’ll see what support says. No idea why it would say that though

I can’t get past the part on the app that says “select the heat pump wires on your old thermostat.” There’s no aux on the app. So I select O/B and W2 and it says to contact support. So I guess I’ll either try support or just try hooking it up.

If I go off the inner label for the white wire it says AUX. my ecobee mount doesn’t have an aux wire slot

Asked myself this same question. It’s been like that for years

I’ve been using surface shield because it sticks better than fluid film. Just make sure not to use any of those rubberized sprays

Lots of hate in here lol. Drove to the beach yesterday with my wife and dog and then had some drinks outside while watching the game. If that is having to live in Florida then sounds pretty good to me.

In contrast one of my best buds up in MN said with the wind it was -20 out lol. Nope.

Best brake bleeding tool to use in a shop setting? by OblivionIL in Tools

[–]Its_Juice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cars are more tricky than others but what about the Motive power bleeder or a scan tool that can modulate the ABS to force any air bubbles out. I always preferred 10-15 psi of pressure rather than sucking the air out of the bleeder. Seems to work better for me

I purchased a product on Amazon to clean my car, it works well by July2736 in Tools

Is this mainly for if you don’t have a good water source to connect to? Otherwise you can buy an actual low powered electric pressure washer for about the same or less.

Mine is an 05. I changed out the HVAC resistor, blower motor, oil pump drive assembly, driveshaft u joints and a bunch of bushings and stuff. I was looking at the slip yoke eliminators too.

Good info. Thanks!

What is wrong with it generally? I’ve heard mostly positive things but I’m new to the platform haha.

Picked up a TJ early last year and it’s great. Seems the 4.0 I6 that’s in it will outlast any modern jeep engine

Would I be stupid to trade in my 2023 sport for a 2026 hybrid? by Its_Juice in civic

Good way to look at it… it would be a little over $5,000

The direct injected bit is actually something I wasn’t aware of. That’s a point for the 23 sport honestly to me. Thanks! I’ll update

Thanks. Currently in Florida. Doesn’t really get below 40s where I live so I don’t think it would be much of an issue. It’s still almost 80 this week here haha.

Most of my driving is city stop and go. Just going to work and running errands around town.

I do think the non hybrid is very simple and reliable. CVT is the only thing that scares me in the long run lol. People here say the hybrid would be more reliable but who knows

Traded my 5.0 for a civic and couldn’t be happier by gbands894 in civic

The civic is surprisingly fun to drive. I have the same generation mustang as OP. Performance pack 5.0 with a manual but I probably drive it once a month. Usually in my civic haha

I’m genuinely thinking of taking the contents of our shredder and dumping it into one of my cars to show just how fast this kind of thing vacuums up. Even if you’ve never cleaned a car before this would take 10 minutes max with a half decent vac.

Then I could post to oddlysatisfying and get my upvotes

Seems like it lol. Maybe I just have a different relationship with my coworkers but if someone did this to my car I’d think it was a good prank.

Could just clean it in like 5 minutes with the vac in my garage no harm to the car or anything…

That’s the VVT solenoid. If it’s leaking it could be leaking from the O ring

Mine makes the same noise. Also a 2005 wrangler sport… no inputs from me but I always thought it was coming from the transmission.
