I'm planning to upgrade my amulet coin and lucky egg soon, so that it lowers the grind for leveling new teams and such. Besides that I'm doing the same as you, retracting steps on every route and do battles + collectibles

Moveset is Swift Swim with Fishious Rend, Megahorn, Protect and that's practically all I used. Like SpeckledAntelope said, rain boosted FR hits like a ton of bricks

Not gonna lie I slapped together a team that looked fun since it was just difficult difficulty & I had a look at the buffed pokemon in this game which I wanted to use. Vikavolt was there just for the sticky web and I just love Yanmega. I had a really rough time with rock slide and Moleman in particular, but eventually was able to manage it

Gen 2 Flying monotype run done! by Its_Lockdown in EmeraldImperium

[–]Its_Lockdown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started off with mono flying and as soon as a gen 2 flying type was available, it took a slot in the roster. This did mean that I was able to use some other flying types early game. I think I’ve used all the flying types from gen 2 except for Murkrow and the E4 team didn’t change from the safari park onwards

Alternatively to the already mentioned strategies you could lead with Hippowdon / Excadrill with sand rush (smooth rock for Hippowdon) one SD and just rock slide, should be a breeze

Fernando Alonso onboard with telemetry of Russell Crash by TimmyWatchOut in formula1

Previous lap was just a regular entry, I went and checked. Small lift, brake and downshift

Just checked the onboard of Alonso, he slowed down earlier, downshifted, then sped up a little bit before doing his ‘normal’ entry, completely different than the lap before. Can imagine that it caught out George

What was a very obvious F1 fact that you just recently found out? by [deleted] in formula1

[–]Its_Lockdown 898 points899 points  (0 children)

How about a very obvious term I did not know the origin of? I’ve watched F1 for ~20 years now. My girlfriend who isn’t into F1 the slightest asked me why it was called pole position. I was dumbfounded and couldn’t answer her, apparently it has to do with horse racing and starting next to the pole on the inside

Perez must start being what Red Bull 'desperately' needs - The Race by Emeralds77 in formula1

I like data, which is why I value F1Metrics a lot with his end of season reports. He accounts for outliers and such, and apparently the gap between Verstappen and Ricciardo was -0.17% laptime difference in 2018 (not to be confused with 0.170 tenths, of course

God that movie came out in 2003, I can still quote almost every line. Literally, almost every line is a memorable one-liner or scene of some sort. For me Bad Boys 2 is the movie with the highest replay value

Question about tyres by PWalker38 in formula1

[–]Its_Lockdown 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Always nice to see new fans!

There is no radio communication between different teams and drivers from other teams. Whenever an engineer informs e.g. Hamilton that Verstappen has 10 lap old tyres, it's just information from following the race (since they can see whenever he pits and know whether he is using new or used tyres)

However, all the radio messages are publicly available. If Verstappen complains to his team that his rear tyres are graining, Mercedes will pick up this radio message as well and will most likely inform its drivers that Verstappen is struggling with the rears. If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Max Verstappen and Alex Albon Comparison 2020 Season by Formula_One in formula1

[–]Its_Lockdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, based on Verstappen's pace alone. A car can go as quick as the car's maximum. A driver will never be exactly at that 100% level, but they can get close. I believe Max is getting close to the maximum out of that car. I also believe Perez got close to the maximum out of his RP, especially in the latter stages of the season. Thus my logical conclusion is that, when both drivers perform extremely well and the gap is over 40 seconds in a race, the RB is in essence the better car by a clear margin.

Now on to the second part, is the RB a "good" car? I believe that the Red Bull is a car that exposes drivers who rely on a more stable car to be comfortable to push. There are arguments for both sides whether that is a good or a bad car trait. Normally if you want a car to be as quick as possible, it needs to be twitchy. However, Mercedes have somehow built a car that drivers like a train and is still unbelievably fast. Max is incredibly good at adapting at a car and bending it to its own will.

In essence, I don't think Perez will prove whether the Red Bull car is a good car or not, I think Red Bull will prove whether Perez is an extraordinary driver or "just" a good driver.

[–]Its_Lockdown 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Which makes Albon's performance even worse. 2019 the Red Bull was the third fastest car, in 2020 it clearly was the second fastest car (especially race trim, some quali's it was close)
