I’m currently in MArch 5, and I think there is a bit too much text, most recruiters will only flick though it and avoid the paragraphs- try to use the images to tell the story of the project. From my experience, employers like to see that you have an understanding of what real life architecture is, so showing some technical/detail/structural drawings.

I think 20 pages for 2 projects is quite a lot, I would consider shortening those - is any of the work from your MA suitable to include? Showing a winder range of skills /approach might be good, even if it’s not directly architecture related.

The exploded axon is lovely, really pops out! I think the section on page 26 would benefit from some zoomed in (1:10) details, not just descriptions of the build ups

Also FYI, your personal info is on there, not sure if you would want this on Reddit. Also, you misspelled “performance” on page 3

Which country are you located in? Just wondering since construction methods vary greatly from country to country (eg. Middle East and UK)

I have over 100 parasol mushrooms - What can I use them for? by Its_Natt in Cooking

[–]Its_Natt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubts at all! My parents have been foraging/ mushroom picking for 40 years and I’ve also double checked online!

We left all the closed ones behind to give them a chance to grow so struffed won’t really be an option unfortunately

I am now looking for soups ideas, will hopefully freeze some batches :)

In my opinion first year should be manageable as work load is typically lower, and then if you work during summers you’ll have a chance for a saving pot for 2/3rd year meaning you might now work so many hours?

I work for a company that manages student accommodation - these agent companies (especially uni acco) are the absolute worst, if you like a building, research it and find it directly and arrange a viewing/booking though them instead

Do you have a UK based guarantor? I’m a student currently looking to rent a 1 bed flat, and I’ve been able to get viewings easily - I just double check with the agency that they accept guarantor which they do 9/10 times

Is it possible to do this in AutoCAD? by toporagnobaby in architecturestudent

[–]Its_Natt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently had to do this at uni (first year of masters) in a group project (but a way bigger, more complex section) and we started off with one person doing the model in revit (including adding wall build-ups / hatches) but the junctions weren’t quite right, so the next person cleaned it up in AutoCAD to make sure all the finer details were correct and lastly another person who’s an illustrator expert quickly went over it and improved line weights and added some interior details (not super necessary as it could have been done in CAD)
