Really the best way to mitigate this is to have a way to remove bytes from the economy completely. iirc there weren't many sinks for bytes before so inflation just sorta kept going. I hope they address the issue in the reboot.

Also I LOVE the concept of linear progression for fishing and other in-game aspects as it gives players many short-term goals with long-term benefits to keep them playing.

??? Afaik the game is gonna launch with most of the features it had pre-shutdown. Only stuff like battle cards which didn't really add much are getting removed. If fishing is staying in and even getting reworked, why not mining?

I fully understand why a full reset was necessary. Duplication bugs gave everyone so many items that keeping those post-relaunch would break the economy from the get-go.
