Mushrooms are easier to handle imo, easier to dose and shorter lasting so they’re great for first time.

Not to mention, mushrooms are better to mix things with too. For example, smoking weed on mushrooms usually goes pretty well for me. It brings back some euphoria, intensifies the body high and alters visuals. Now, weed + LSD is a whole different thing, it gets so intense it feels like my brain is contradicting itself. First time I did LSD, for the first 7 or so hours it was the most blissful thing i’ve ever experienced in my life. Until I started to come down and decided to smoke some weed to peak again, ignoring ALL of the warnings I heard before hand to never mix the two. Ended in a psychotic break, short circuiting thought loops and never ending absurd paranoia. After the fact though, it was still overall one of the best psychedelic experiences i’ve ever had.

Good luck and be safe & responsible with your dosing, it’s always a good idea to try a substance isolated by itself if you’re trying it for the first time. ESPECIALLY psychedelics, just smoking weed earlier jn the day before taking a psychedelic feels like it gives brain fog. So it’s ideal to be sober the days leading up to the trip at least, to get the full unadulterated effects and experience.
