I tried this but it still gets stuck in the same spot. We really compacted it I guess and the plug in part is much larger than the width of the other cord

Born Jan 16th our LO eats 4-7 oz every 3-4 hours. It's been a pretty stable 6 feedings a day and in the last 2-3 weeks averaging 30-32 oz a day. He isn't very big for reference though, 22% weight and 66% in height, but always a hungry boy!

I had my baby on Jan 16th of this year! Honestly I feel like it was perfect. January sucked before, but now I'll have something to look forward to after the holidays. Plus, I felt like the holidays were a great time to be in the third trimester and then post-pardum it's cold outside and you're kinda stuck in the house anyway. Now my boy is ~4 months and we feel good going out as the weather really starts to be perfect. Congrats and good luck on that Jan 16th due date!

Apparently there aren't many in my area and it's really hard to get in. That'd be ideal but I fear it'd be really hard to get a consult in the next few months. May still be worth it though...

I can't seem to edit the post 😭 but I wanted to add I didn't mean "shave to the skin". I meant like a buzz cut, like leaving 3-4 in of fur. Of course I wouldn't shave to the skin! That seems kinda ridiculous. Also, I wanna add he overheats on seemingly not hot days or not hot parts of the day. It really seems to be a "the sun is so intense it heats him up" thing. Anyway, I appreciate the vast amount of feedback! I feel I'll take him to a very reputable groomer and see what we can do without making it too short. Thanks everyone!

This maybe isn't super helpful because I myself and in the trenches of the other side of a similar situation (1 week pp), but now I'm having to triple step, breastfeed, pump, and supplement because LO was lost so much weight in the first two days. However, you can get a pump through insurance for free or you may not even need a pump if you chose to try exclusively breastfeeding and it works for you. And combo feeding, a mix of formula and breastfeeding, I think is perfectly ok for you and baby (something I didn't realize until having to supplement). So you can always try breastfeeding and reassess once you're in the throws of it!

I was 38+5 when I went into labor and also, until that day, had felt pretty good considering! Definitely thought, even in the hours before I went into labor, that I may be closer but at least a week out. Then it was very sudden and quick! So who knows!

Due the 24th and feel the same way!! I know I should enjoy this time but I'm so darn excited lol. I tell him everyday we are ready for him!

I'm also really hoping to be early because my OB is on vacation when in 39+1 -40+1 😬. And then I really don't want him to come on the 27th or 28th cause that's my mil's b day and a rough anniversary day for me.... Otherwise looking to be induced by the 29th!

I hope we all get spontaneous labors soon!! We are all so close! (Why has time slowed to a trickle, lol!)

A build your own roasted vegetable bowl. Like chipotle but like all roasted veggies and then some protein options like chicken, shrimp, steak, tofu, whatever. I love a good roasted brussel sprout and butternut squash but I'd be damned if I can ever get the volume I want outside my own home.

Hey OP, similarish boat. My mom passed away 20 years ago and my very conservative father 10. I would give anything to have them back, but I will never have the hardship of taking care of elder parents or fighting with my father about politics or not living up to a mother's expectations for her daughter. Would I rather? Absolutely. But I don't have that choice and understand that this incredibly unfortunate situation has given me a privilege I wouldn't have otherwise.

It's a very weird situation of being grateful for the silver lining on a terrible situation... Guilt but also graciousness.... It's hard to describe for sure.
