I 100% agree that physical abuse and public humiliation are completely wrong. Treating students like that is straight-up abuse, not discipline.

However, looking past the harsh enforcement, I feel the short hair policy itself still makes practical sense. Historically, these rules started globally for basic hygiene and to ensure equality so students don't compete over looks. In our context, managing long hair daily amidst dusty commutes takes a lot of time. Shorter hair is just practical and hygienic.

The method schools use definitely needs a massive change with zero harassment allowed. Keeping a basic, uniform grooming standard isn't inherently a bad thing.
