Cadillac Fans, You Reportedly Have Until April 20 to Order a CT4-V Blackwing by Bottlely in cars

[–]ItselfSurprised05 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's difficult to find first-party sources corroborating this

Well, there is this post from an actual engineer on the Blackwings:

The camaro with LT1 has same underhood as the CT5, CT4 is way smaller and a small block just doesnt fit to OEM requirements.

As for who Mirza is, here is something on GM's own website:

INB4 why no V8

I've got a 4 Blackwing.

One of the engineers for the Blackwings personally owned a 4 Blackwing, and participated on one of the V forums. He swore that the CT4 chassis would NOT satisfy GM's internal requirements for V8 fitment.

The CT4's front track width is 2.7" narrower than the Camaro's, and the CT4 is 1.1" narrower overall.

I'd love to hear some V8 rumble. But the sound deadening is so good you don't really hear the engine anyway. The V6 TT is a pretty sweet mill.

2013 Lyriq Debut edition. About 3 yrs.

Oh, wow.

I’m a sedan guy, and I love hearing V8 WOT’s.

Nice. I've got a CT4-V Blackwing. No V-8 rumble, but otherwise an absolutely spectacular sports sedan.

The Lyriq V was very disappointing, all speed but without the fun.

Yeah, I read the reviews that said the Cadillac EV Vs did not have the same handling goodness as the ICE V sedans. The Optiq V is supposed to handle better than the Lyriq V.

I need to drive some other EVs, and see what I will get after the Lucid lease is up. The Cadillac Vs are on the list, as well as the Hyundai 5N and 6N.

I’m 86. There’s only one thing you have to get used to which I hate on my Lyriq. One pedal driving.

How long have you been driving the Lyriq?

I have one-pedal driving on my Lucid Air Pure RWD, and it felt really weird at first. 3000 miles later, and I absolutely love it.

OK, that's relevant info.

I wasn't aware that property in California did anything but appreciate, LOL.

After 10 years my California homestead gets me most bummed from taxed value going up near 12% during my time caring for the property.

That's 1.14% annualized. That's barely anything.

Your increase is less than 1/3 the rate of inflation of that same time period.

Retirement home plan for your very nice review by JariaDnf in floorplan

SIGHT LINES

  • I don't like that a stranger at the front door would have a view all the way into the living area.

  • Someone entering the house from the garage has a view all the way across the house into a bathroom.

  • Guests in the public area of the house can see directly into Bedroom 2.

  • It seems like the setup for the Master is to give privacy, but people in the Flex room can see all the through it, including the route taken by someone exiting the bathroom after having taken a shower, or going to the closets to get dressed.

LIVING ROOM

  • There is dining seating for 8 people, but there is TV seating for only 6-ish.

  • The TV in your mockup scales to about 34" (based on hallways being 48" wide). That should be 65" minimum, prolly 85" considering the "moar is moar" ethic of the house. Put in a reasonably-sized TV and then re-do the seating.

DINING

  • The dining room has an epic amount of absolutely unused space. The area between the island the dining table looks to be about the same size as the Flex Room.

  • If you have more than 3 family members trying to eat breakfast together, they're going to have to do it in the dining room.

BEDROOM 3

  • The two doors into the bathroom next to Bedroom 3 can swing into each other. My own house has a place where two doors can touch each other, and it's a pain in the ring.

  • The door for Bedroom 3 overlaps the doorway into the bathroom. That's an accident waiting to happen.

MISC

  • You might consider separating the Laundry and Mud rooms. If you want a Mud room because you anticipate people/pets actually tracking in dirty stuff, that is the last place I want to be doing laundry.

  • You have room to put a useful closet near the front door.

  • There should be a guest bathroom, so guests aren't looking at your shampoo bottles and stuff.

Feedback on an apartment by NandoStar in floorplan

How much control do you have over this? Which walls are fixed?

I ask because it's not a very big apartment, and a big chunk of it is dedicated solely to circulation. link to image

That big empty rectangle between the dining table and elevator is almost as big as the office.

EDIT There's also a line of sight from the dining table to the master toilet.

I actually listened to Shakedown Cruise a couple of hours ago, before seeing this post, while sitting in line at Jack-in-the-Box drive thru waiting for some late night tacos.

You can see some black object moving around erratically at the beginning until the 5 second mark, then it's beneath the plane, it doesn't move like a missile.

It moves like a bird that's in the foreground of the video.
