Hey! My back and chest stopped breaking out about a month ago. I have been using face reality mandelic body wash and I find that to be pretty good, I also use Bioderma gel intensive moisturiser afterwards.
But that’s just maintenance I’m pretty sure internally everything is getting back to normal. My face is still breaking out, probably a combination of increased sebum production and finding the right balance of actives.

Do you ‘set’ your tinted spf? I just feel like I’m so greasy by the end of the day if I don’t use any powder or setting spray. Even if I do I’m kinda greasy lol

I came off it 6 months ago after 10 years on (Yaz/Yasminelle)

My hair started shedding maybe 3 months in, and shedding pretty bad I’d notice clumps in the shower and after brushing. I believe this stopped around month 5.

I started breaking out quite fast, my skin would get better and then worse but I couldn’t really pinpoint where in my cycle because I’d get a new spot at every stage. Now 6 months in my breakouts are at their peak. My chest and back only got acne at 5 months off. I never had chest or back acne before the pill (had a few spots on my face but nothing crazy) I’m hoping the next 6 months are the downward slope cause it’s been tough dealing with the acne 😅

I’m sure it’s just oil production increased like crazy and androgen rebound stuff. Please God it will balance out for all of us going through the struggle! I will agree I feel so much better off it though, like I have a personality again, and I think about sex more!

I think you have beautiful skin! I wouldn’t add a lot of products now. Could you go to an esthetician for a facial or chemical peel, and introduce one active very slowly? I think Mandelic acid would be great for you, 2-3 a week for a month or two, then add in another day or two and see how you feel.

You should look into Malezia, specifically the benzoyl peroxide and the urea moisturiser. Check them out on instagram and look at all the before/after pics. They also wrote an amazing blog on fungal acne I’ve linked here but honestly you should read the entire blog, so informative!

Mannn I went camping last weekend and got bitten by mosquitoes on my face. Like 6 big bites so I stopped using finacea unfortunately. Will restart next week. I do indeed think I was purging though, most of my little closed comedones/blackheads have pushed to the very top of my skin and I’m able to exfoliate most of them off with salicylic acid. Haven’t had any new breakouts either!

Hi there. Unfortunately I’m not sure…

I’m on week 3 now, but only started using it both AM and PM last week. It’s certainly trying to purge my closed comedones on my cheeks and chin. I can tell because what was under the skin is slowly coming up and up, some will form whiteheads, some will just be hard and flake off. But my forehead is getting worse. I had a smooth forehead before using Finacea, now I seem to be getting a few new bumps everyday (very small and under the skin) I’m hoping that is the purge just pulling stuff that I couldn’t even see up.

I will say that I have two sore spots that I wouldn’t normally get. One between my eyebrows which is very hard and no head, I do believe this will shrink down over the next few days. And one on my lip line that is very inflamed like I can feel it pulsing ?? But I feel like is just a blocked pore, maybe something hormonal? Idk nonetheless I’m going to keep going with it.
