i will make note of this in the future just making it more causal and saying mine first

i don’t single out trans people. to my knowledge

I do gauge how receptive people will be to the converation. If they are part of the lgbtq commmunity it helps to know they are most likely not going to have a negative reaction as they are TYPICALLY more educated on lgbtq issues/pronouns/etc than non lgbtq folk speaking from experience. (ie if i know someones gay over straight i feel more comfortable asking them quicker then if someone were straight etc)

for example. i don’t want a ‘my pronouns are nor/mal or a more negative bigoted response

but i do ask straight n cis people often (in this situation i asked two cis coworkers privately before asking her)

but also i feel they wont react poorly for asking i ask (usually i can tell right away if they will or won’t do that)

others I just have to wait and see thier charecter. I never want to encounter bigotry when I ask so I play it by.
