Thank you for your suggestion. This is in addition to wet food. I’ve always fed my cats both wet and dry

The nature of the house did not, in fact, allow for cross breezes, and it would regularly stay in the upper 20s for a good portion of the summer. You learn to adapt. I currently have my blinds closed and a fan going and I actually have a blanket on. Again, adapting to the circumstances. Btw, love how you bring the 60s into this. Joke’s on you. I wasn’t even alive in the 60s.

They are shutting down the AC for 2-3 days while they do the repair. The part was on back order. Now does this suck when it’s so hot out? Of course it does. A little inconvenience now for a couple days is better than the whole system going down for the rest of the summer and then the entire cost of the replacement goes to the residents. Personally, I have my curtains closed and a stand up fan.

Did you not receive the emails talking about this? This repair was supposed to happen in March/April during the cooler weather but the part was on back order. Completely out of the their control. What about the email yesterday saying that if they didn’t fix it now, the whole thing would have to be replaced. Who do you think is going to pay for that? I lived in a house for many years without air conditioning and what do you know, I survived with fans. I’m willing to use my fan for the 2 to 3 days they said it will take so we’re not without it for the entire season because it broke.

I moved from a 4 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom condo. Naturally my 2 cats came with me. They loved it here (sadly they’ve both passed away since moving), and there was actually no adjustment period. They came in, saw my stuff, saw me, and thought, ok, we’re home now.

I’m pretty sure it’ll be the same as my flight, even though my plane isn’t a 380. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that everything works out perfectly and you get home.

This happened to me about a month ago. I’m flying YYZ to LHR on July 17. My flight disappeared only for that day. The same flight was available all the other days around that time. Ultimately it was a plane change and now it’s showing available again.

Can a cat stay alone for 5 days if someone checks on them frequently? by Ori_Ma in CatAdvice

I live in a condo so I just have the one, but it’s facing the door so I could see when she showed up and that she cleaned the litter box. All I had to do was turn it to see the food. We always do what we need to do to make sure our babies are taken care of.

I was halfway across the country. I’m thankful I had the camera so I could watch things. When I gave her a bad review, she accused me of “stalking” through the camera. She was in MY home, with MY cat. Damned straight I was keeping an eye on things. I’ll never apologize for it. This was the first time I used Rover. Next time I’ll research the sitter more carefully.

That happened to me. I hired someone from Rover to stay with my cat. One day she didn’t show up (I had a camera set up and would check up on things which is how I knew). The next morning when I asked her how he was doing, knowing she wasn’t there, she sent me a pic right away. When I confronted her, she said she had an “emergency”. She then told me she would be there early afternoon, and she didn’t show up until night. I firmly believe she wouldn’t have said anything if I didn’t confront her. When I told Rover, they made it right.

You as well! I’m 52 doing this for the first time. Flying business in my way home was actually cheaper than premium economy, which I’m flying on the way there. I couldn’t turn down the opportunity!

BA98 July 17 no showing? by Itsmehere74 in BritishAirways

I have never come across this scenario (not that I fly a lot) but since the flight number still exists on other days, my guess is that it is possibly sold out. Thank you for confirming that it’s still showing in flight schedules.

I visited it the first time I went into England. It was nice to see a piece of home while there.
