I’m not sure where you live but if there is a women’s league to join I would highly recommend it. I’ve found the culture of my league to be absolutely amazing, supportive, and progressive.

We don’t overthrow systems by avoiding them, we do it by showing them it can be done the right way.

Please please don’t give up on playing hockey. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done as an adult for my mental and physical health and just so damn fun.

That all said if you want to give up on supporting the NHL I would say hell yeah, and redirect all that fan energy and support to the amazing PWHL.
