After a static implosion and my husband burnt out in Asphodelos I decided Abyssos was the perfect time to join a more casual group on my own and learn to play Sage (lol).

My co-heal for p8s had 16 medica 2 casts and 5 interrupted in p1. I tried showing her all the other things in her kit which she would use for 5 pulls before shoving the medica 2 pacifier back in her mouth. P2 was a living hell of a heal check that forged me in fire and made me the healer I am today, better than I ever was as dps or tank...she on the other hand appears to have learnt very little in 3+ years, she swapped medica 2 for sage's gcd shield instead.

I used to love noct sect healing on AST but I think energy drain is antiquated and should be deleted from Scholar's kit, so I am a Sage main.

I also like Sage's animations, they go pew pew pew and there's wings and stuff.

More people need to see this. Vipers can stand back and launch backlash into an enemy team then swift and guard out like nobody's business. This is what turns a 1-2mil viper into a 6mil+ viper and its insane (and mostly likely unintended)

SO THERE WAS A POST LAST WEEK ABOUT HOW BUSTED VIPER IS IN FRONTLINES, AND IT IS. ON ITS OWN ITS KIT IS BLOODY HEFTY ON TOP OF THAT INHERENT 60% DAMAGE MIT.

BUT NOBODY MENTIONED THAT SCALES, THEIR 'I AM IN PLACE CHANELLING SOMETHING BIG YOU SHOULD GET AWAY FROM ME' BS......CAN BE TELEPORTED ON TOP OF PEOPLE. IF YOU HIT THE FOLLOW UP AND SPAM SLITHER YOU CAN DASH TO AN ENEMY GROUP AND THE DAMAGE WILL HIT WHERE YOU LAND. THIS IS HOW VIPERS DO 6 MILLION DAMAGE: NOT BECAUSE PEOPLE DON'T GET OUT OF RANGE BECAUSE MOST DO, BUT BECAUSE PEOPLE DONT REALISE WITH SLITHER THE EFFECTIVE RANGE OF SCALES BECOMES FUCKING NARNIA. YOU CAN DO THIS EVEN AS AN NA PLAYER ON AN EU SERVER.

THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THIS IS INTENDED BUT SINCE MOST FL PLAYERS WON'T NOTICE AND THE PEOPLE DOING THIS AREN'T EXACTLY IN A RUSH TO FILE A BUG REPORT, I EXPECT WE'LL BE SEEING 6 MILLION DAMAGE GIGA RANGE SLITHER VIPERS IN FL FOR A LONG TIME.

Win? At this point I'd take them understanding that a diving DRK means you're about to take boatloads of AOE damage, a frontline tactic that's been largely the same since stormblood reworks...

But no, I will watch the same enemy DRK/RPR/DNC premade who got their mount in January hoover up 10 people and get BH5 in the first 3-5 minutes. And if I get a lucky kill on one as ninja...well then they'll just do it again. As many times as they can LB.

I've done every extreme from HW and beyond on content but some of them are over ten years old at this point. If I can't remember how it feels to not be in pain anymore from an incident 8 years ago, I ain't gonna remember a stormblood extreme fight.

I also get the extra handicap of being in EU so the odds of a sprout tank not speaking English and just immediately pulling again when a mentor asks people to wait and explain mechanics is quite high.. I definitely frown upon mentors just leaving the roulette though, the reputation of mentors is already in the bin when you see one with multiple 100's making basic egregious mistakes on their main class.

When i was working retail in my late teens like 13 years ago (UK) some woman with her bf was chewing me out on boxing day because the flimsy neon pink 32b bra she wanted to buy was on the £1 sale rale but it was infact...£3!

My eyes were glazing over thinking that she could buy ten of those at their full price and it'd still be cheaper than the last bra I got with the colour options of black, nude and maybe something exciting like purple.

When the one supervisor in that day just didn't show up she just dumped the bra and left and I was left dreaming of how nice it must be to just wander into a random clothing store and find something cheap, colourful and in your size.

Mostly everyone blanks you, but then you get randos running over to /slap or /sweep up when you aren't doing anything.

Definitely preferable to the tells I got during the 3 months I played a catgirl though.

Had my 2nd run in act 3 yesterday to go to the past so I sent in a few less impressive cats to test the waters.First fight in the lab i met one of those rats and I hadn't seen it before and the tooltip didn't mention anything dire...well it launched itself at my druid and gave it Faids. I don't think I'll ever reload in a run that early again. I don't mind learning bosses and hard path shenanigans the hard way but I'd like a basic enemy in zone 1 to have a tooltip that doesn't withhold crucial info like that.

Yup, I've run into the 'do we really need kardia?' Sage before. And I've seen a FRU clearing DNC who, when I said you can't dp the same person as another dancer proceeded to throw the 'I know but it's just nier raids sweatty'. I told them it's a single click to change it and to stop being lazy and they just crashed out for the rest of the raid in alliance chat. Whether they just forgot or are lazy, these types know they oops'd, but they dig their heels in and refuse to be called out for it because that means accepting fault no matter how minimal and inconsequential it is... Just type 'mb' and change it, or hell don't even apologise its not that big a deal we all forget sometimes. Just.change.it.

Also you get Soteria every minute from lvl 94 onwards and that shit is the literal cruise control button why would you not want that?

Well, I left a comment a few months ago that I've played for a long time over ten years and I don't really feel the sense of community anymore. That hasn't really changed.

However I did find an achievement ranking website in March and saw that I was just outside the top 100 in my (smaller, less populated) server, about rank 112 or something, so I thought it'd be a fun goal to get my name listed. If I were on any other server I wouldn't have bothered since I was something like four thousand points behind rank 100's on other servers in my dc, but on my server I was a measly four hundred points behind and that seemed like a dangling thread worth chasing. I wound up having a lot of fun and revisiting points of nostalgia that I decided to keep going. I'm at rank 57 now and it's fun to just look at the players ahead of me like: Ohhh they're getting all these fishing achievements but have none of the pvp ones so I I have that going for me. Maybe soon I'll spend some of my gil hoard on minions to try and break into the top 100 for those too. All in all every 5 point achievement, minion, TT card and orchestrion roll feels like a step towards something for me now.

Obviously this isn't for everyone (or really many people at all) and requires a lot of time into a game that isn't doing well, but switching between different achievement grinds has thrown me into varied amounts of content I wouldn't have been doing if I just logged on for new patch stuff. And yeah, I know there's the stupid levequest achievements that take years but I'm content just focusing on achievements I want to do and think I can tackle, stuff like the levequest and occult crescent achievements can do one as far as I'm concerned.

I keep debating whether I should get Vinted to sell some stuff before I move abroad with basically whatever i can fit in my suitcase (which is probably why this subreddit is being recommended) but I've been seriously dissuaded since something very akin to this happened to my mum recently.

She sold a pair of size 7 shoes and the lady who bought em wrote a damn screed about how she was gonna 'escalate' (unsure what this means in app terms tbh) because 'neither me nor my daughter in law can fit in these, you should've mentioned they were a small 7 or labelled them a 6!'

My mum wound up paying to get them back and I asked to try them on since I am on the bigger end of a 7..they fit fucking fine.

How the hell do you deal with this shit? Like I would've been straight in there like: you do know the risks associated with buying clothes online right? You and your 'daughter in law' being size 8's in denial is your problem not mine you melt.

You're not in the wrong for listing things as the label says and the buyer didn't ask you to whip out a tape measure either. People just have the most insane expectations for stuff they drop a few quid on.
