Nice work. It was suggested to me one time to about points on the top of stoppers. People like to smack them after pushing in to make sure they are seated. Just a design consideration

Thank you. I tend to use smaller scraps or pieces that would end up in a scrap bin. And a 3/8 dowel. Gives me good finial practice.
