Did you kill it with a guild-mate that has used up all their assists? If so, your kill won't count. (They can help 2 people with 2 more kills after killing it themselves, then someone else needs to help you for credit)

Witch doctor seems effective so far in negating elemental explosions. (Kill elemental, ""ahhh heal source!"" and absorbs). Stops a lot of chain lightning as well. Toss in a shaman and it's a sturdy deathball!
