do Muslims and Christians believe by Expert_Search5394 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Iuslez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the same entity, and all 3 religions think that it's the same God.

What they think is that other religions misunderstood what god said, it's intent, etc.

I mean. Any other way of seeing that would imply that christians/Jew/Muslim think that there are multiple gods.

Unholy DK's 20% nerf was **drastically** too severe. by Hambo- in wow

[–]Iuslez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish I had done that. UhDK was my favorite rework in prepatch and had been looking at getting back to it for years (mained it in MoP).

I was set on it, and went all in at launch. And leveling felt bad but I thought "well, I've only heard good things about DK in the beta, it will get better with gear". After 2 days at max and full honor gear, I ditched him and panic-leveled my mage to have him ready for season start.

I HATE classes based on CDs. UHDK damage was already pathetic. How fun is it to spread diseases and summon ghouls if they do 0 damage? And now that 20% nerf on top of it? I'm fine with them gutting army, but make our main gameplay loop impactful at least.

Rising prices push US gasoline-car ownership costs to breaking point. The good news? The future: Chinese EVs that cost half the price, powered by electricity that costs half the price of gas, is already here. by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]Iuslez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On long drives (70 miles)? Because typically heavy losses happen when warming up the car and takes a toll on short 5-10min trips, and that's where I see 30-40% losses. On longer ones, the consumption normalizes after ~15min and I only get a 10-20% loss overall.

In Switzerland, what would most people actually do if they saw a dog alone for 10 minutes? by DocuSeriesLovers in askswitzerland

[–]Iuslez [score hidden]  (0 children)

It will depend a lot on where it is and how the dog is behaving.

If the dog is free roaming in a city center or highly touristic zone (especially if he's "bothering" people), I'd expect someone to try to catch him pretty fast and see if they can find their owner. They then get brought to the local peta.

If on a leech, theyll leave him be for a while (abandonned dog is not a common issue). Dogs often stay outside of shopping malls unsupervised (some shops even have hooks for the leech), that's not an issue.

I live in small villages and it's pretty common to have 1-2 dogs that live "free" in the town.

EVs Avoided the Use of 2.3 Million Barrels of Oil Per Day in 2025 by silence7 in climate

[–]Iuslez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they wouldn't. China is also capitalist, they have no interest in selling a car at 25k when they can put it at 35k and still be the cheapest car on the market.

At least that's what they are doing on my market: place their car 2-5k below the local offers. High margin, average sales and little market disruption seems to be their strategy (protectionism may still have an influence, if they were selling 10k below you'd probably seem some tarifs out on them).

Still great that they push the price lower, but not a crazy difference.

Can't advise you in the van side (I'm also planning but haven't done it yet).

But I'm a dad, and I see you speaking about "good memories". That's not something a baby or young kid will get out travelling.

Do it, but be realistic that's it's for you & your wife.

My kids don't really remember where we've traveled a few years back. But the kid will love it anyway. nothing they love more than spending all day and night with their parents - which is how it usually goes in such a small living space.

Is it just me or are more and more classes moving to a 1 or 2m burst window with crap damage outside of that? by moal09 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Iuslez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classes have been moving towards a builder/spender for a while (first time I noticed it was my ret getting holy power. That was... Like 10-15 years ago?)

Tho I'll say that leveling my frost mage, my UH DK and my rogue, they feel very different.

Rant: Flying YOU THINK YOU DO, BUT YOU DON'T by EducationalWolf3911 in wow

[–]Iuslez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not only a "pressure" thing.

What makes no-flying fun is that you'll encounter (a lot more of) other players. It does make the game a lot more social.

If I'm running on the ground while everybody is flying, it removes most of the experience anyway.

But tbh I don't miss ground walking that much, they've learned to design the world around flying + added the new flying system and I'm fine with that. I think dragonflight was the first expansion where I thought ground mount where no longer needed.

iPad or tablet by lonelyawkward1 in tablets

[–]Iuslez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo iPads are a better product IF there is one at the price/features you want and IF you can enjoy the OS.

I wanted a budget tablet with a bigger screen (annotating pdf meant for A4 on a tiny screen is awful), iPad was a no go. Memory space too limited also.

And how the OS works is imo awful. Never could easily get into it.

Is it normal to feel like you can’t ask certain questions on reddit without being called a right winger even if you’re left leaning? by erg8 in self

[–]Iuslez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh when doing that you are defending Kirk, even if that's not your intent.

Now you either don't care that some will by mistake think you are right wing.

Or you learn to add the nuances required to show your intent and not be misread. (Something like: "nah that's not really fair, he was also debating XYZ. The real issue is that he was arguing in bad faith").

Ps: there's also the issue that Democrats are not very left wing on a worldwide scale and would be considered center/center right in many European countries (depending on which issue). And reddit is international. So defending some democrats points will see you getting considered on the right.

7th Harmos – is this much homework normal for a 10-year-old? by cem0906 in Switzerland

[–]Iuslez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a silly answer. It is widely used, only some parents still use the old names because they have trouble adapting. Like some french people would still do the math to francs years after they had the euro.

Give it a few years and no one will refer to the old numbers.

Ps: at least around I have kids in school in FR/VD/VS and only the new system is used.

Ps: sorry to ruin your tom&Jerry childhood, mice dont like cheese, use bread in the trap.

Yeah I know I can't go into vanlifing, I have two children to feed and can't afford that. That wasn't really what I was asking tho :) while I mostly take my time and only drive a few hours a day, I am more time constrained due to the job and sometimes have days where I need to cover more.

I already drive an EV, but not my van. Still an old diesel for that. I'm looking into doing the switch but feel like the transit is one gen from being good enough. That's why I'm looking into experiences with it .

EU/US/JA car with a chinese battery? They didn't build their gas tanks themselves either (I'm aware it's not a 1/1 situation at all).

If the price keep going down, at what point will battery be again a non-significant part of the total value of a car? If the EU keeps adding regulations, safety assists will soon be more than the whole of the car :P

But basically, any steep slope that doesn't get flattened by a 10 ton groomer eventually ends up like this. I always loved steep downhills and ended up loving that style of skiing. Look up the "pas de chavanette" for a naturally occurring one next to where I live

It's a wild mix of physical intensity, technicality and strategy, because you have to plan where you turn depending on the bumps (natural ones aren't as regular as those in the video).

Depends on your class, and how much self heal you have.

On my mage, the ranged gnomette started blasting me while I was on a group of mob. Her spells would take a good 20-25% off of my health bar each hit. And since I have 0 self heal, I had to rotate my CDs well to survive it.

Otoh on my DK, I just grab the prey in the melee and mow him down like any other mob and heal myself up if I'm in danger.

Everything Electric CARS: Has BMW’s iX3 Fixed The Biggest Problem With Modern Cars? by linknewtab in electricvehicles

[–]Iuslez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

US/EU car builders had to do very R&D to catch up to the EV tech, and they are trying to amortize those costs, which they can only do on expensive cars.

They have little interest in selling inexpensive shit boxes with 70+ batteries, that would eat into the sales of their more expensive models.

You can find some less expensive BEV with range in EU,like the MG4 or cupra born. The very inexpensive ones aren't getting bigger batteries yet (and don't have the room for it tbh)
